"We came to do some biking in the area. I was concerned we had booked too far from Lanesboro, but it was perfect. The drive is beautiful from there Houston has a really nice bike trail, too! We visited several towns in the area and this home was a great place to come back to each day. We stayed our trip at the Houston Visitor Center, since we got to town early. The owners put a ton of work into modernizing the house into a fully functional house with all the amenities while keeping the charm of the original home. The highlight has to be outside. The adjacent gazebo and fire pit are awesome. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a rural getaway or family gathering."

"This is the second year we’ve stayed here for a family reunion. The location is the #1 perk of the whole property. Set in a valley with bluffs surrounding it with a creek running through. Just beautiful! The house has enough bedrooms for us all with plenty of space for us to mingle. The owner was so nice in answering my questions …not just about the house but other questions I had about the area. I’m so glad we discovered this gem!"
