Extremely noisy at night

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: clean.
Cons: Security for the parking lot and underground parking at night???
I had stayed at the Prestige Inn a few years ago and forgot how loud it is there.....so disappointing, I was very ...very tired and had my 80 year old mom with me. During the night, patrons or whoever?? drinking in the lounge they all congregate in the parking lot afterwards.....lots of noise, yelling, fighting etc...went on for a couple of hours....until the police came. A very expensive room...for a lousy nights sleep......will never stay there again, and I do have a number of mountain bike friends who go to Rossland, but have advised them not to say at the Prestige. I did complain in the morning and the fellow at the desk, was basically non-responsive to the issue and told me that in fact they had 4 police cars in the parking lot that night. I was also concerned with the underground parking, which is open at the back of the hotel, underneath, not protected in any way. I had a look and there was a lot of broken glass etc....around the lot.

Small Rooms

Posted Mar 18, 2013
Pros: Dining room
Cons: Size of room
Location: Convenient and easy to find
The room my husband and I stayed in (standard with one queen size bed) was small. We did not have sufficient room to put out both suitcases and there certainly was no room for doing yoga or stretching exercises. The sound proofing was bad--we could hear the guests walking in the room above us and talking in the room beside us. This room would be comfortable for one person. The cost of the room at the Prestige did not match the quality of product provided. On a positive note, we had an excellent meal and service in their dining room one evening.

Much too small

Posted Mar 3, 2013
Rooms were very small and the heat did not work. We were stuck in a room where the tv didnt swivel and there was so little room all it had was a chair a bed and a tv.

Small but neat

Very nice and clean hotel. Rooms are a bit small but quite comfortable. Hard to get to hotel because of construction on the main street and highway. Hotel staff were very helpful and courteous.

Beautiful area for a hotel

Posted Jun 29, 2011
We were looking forward to a restful weekend with the mountain views from our comfortable top floor room. Not! At 0800hrs. the scraping noise started fallowed shortly after by the explosive sound of roofing shingles hitting the cement from four stories above. This was to continue every couple of minutes for the remaining daylight hours of the weekend. We don't understand why they booked guests on the top floor considering contractors were going to work on the roof all weekend.

Bike friendly

The clerk set us up with an outdoor hose with which to wash off our bikes in the parking lot. There is an underground parking area, so you can leave your bike locked on your car rack and know that it won't get rained on overnight.
