"Laura was a delight during the check in process communication was quick and e. She was incredibly accommodating of our travel time. The house was delightfully rustic, comfortably familiar and oh so peaceful. The views are the absolute best from the top bedroom to the deck to the dock… SPECTACULAR! Private doesn’t explain the tranquility we experienced. We truly enjoyed every moment. It was our first visit to Smith Mountain Lake. "We had a great stay in this cottage. It was perfect for 2 people. They had supplies you always forget to pack including shampoo/conditioner! The best part was having good coffee from a keurig!! It was hands down much better than a hotel and waking up in the wooded area and seeing deers in the morning was so great! Communication was quick with owners as well! Thank you!! If we are ever in that area again, I would absolutely stay again. 🙂"

"A magical sunrise and sunset by the lake. It was peaceful and quiet. The kids enjoyed the board games. The views from the porch is amazing. We were there for a couple of nights due to a wedding. We’re thankful for the popcorn we found as we got in later then excepted. The site is very well maintained. We hope to book there again soon."

"Beautiful house and very clean. The house is remote. Would recommend you plan to stay at the home the whole time. The lake is beautiful and private. We suggest bringing your supplies down to the lake so you don’t have to go back up and down the hill from the lake. We did enjoy our stay. We would go back with friends and family."

"The beds were so uncomfortable. The bathroom door in the basement didn’t close. The wood shudder inside the house on the windows didn’t close fully. The house had an old smell and animal pee. I did one load of laundry and noticed plumbing was duct taped together and held up by yellow electrical wire and had negative fall. "This property was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed our stay immensely. It fit our family of 4 very nicely. The view from the cabin was beautiful. If you have a boat, there is a dock you can tie up to. I will say the stairs to the dock are very steep and may be challenging for older guests, but they did not bother us. The owner was responsive and easy to work with."
