"Donny was one of if not the best host/person I have met. He is truly a great person who cares about his property and guests. Rooms were well kept, hotel style kitchenette minus microwave (inside). Great location and one of few that allow you to park by the river. I didn’t mind the outdoor cooking pavilion with a minor issue pertaining to clean pots, pans, utensils available. "We had 4 couples and 4 kids, and booked almost 2 years in advance for the eclipse. The Rusty Rio is quaint and what it appears to be....a fun and "campy" spot. The only gripe we had was that when we booked, we filtered rentals that had hot tubs, and hot tub was listed as an amenity. It didn't work, and likely hasn't for many years.
