Staff was extremely nice; breakfast included. Great pizza across the street.

$50 room for $110 - don't get burned

The room was reasonably clean, but everything else about the stay was a disappointment. Even for an overnight stop-over, I would look elsewhere.

No frills and great price

Pros: The girl who was manning the breakfast each morning we were there was EXCELLENT---friendly, eager to please, on the spot with replacing items.
Cons: Had a little trouble getting our keycard to work in the door on more than one occasion.
Location: Hiking, fishing, shopping in the cute downtown area, great restaurants nearby. Also close to wonderful Mesa Verde Natl. Park
This was a nice budget-pleasing place to stay on our recent family vacation out west. It's clearly an older place, but it was clean and well-maintained. Delicious breakfast with many choices.

Helpful staff

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating, as we had some special requests regarding our luggage and the check-in and check-out times.
Cons: Everything was fine.
Location: Conveniently located. Restaurants were within easy walking distance. The trolley stops right in front of the motel.
We were returning from a 50-mile backpacking trip, looking forward to a shower and a good night's sleep. The room met our needs.

Kind of run down

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The price is right
Cons: decent blankets and pillows
Location: Close to downtown Durango.
Travel lodge use to be upper scale. This one has fallen on hard times. Noisy air conditioner, a single very thin blanket, two micro-pillows. On the other had the staff was helpful given that I was grumpy and in a bad mood. I didn't get much sleep, but the price is right for Durango during the high season.

Great place to stay. Trolly bus stops outside or there is a pleasant walk in to town beside the river. Not sure why people have rated this hotel so low. Hotel was spotless & we had everything we needed. Thank you Travelodge for making our stay in Durango so pleasant.

Very nice overnight stay, basic clean place.

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Friendly employees, quiet, breakfast included, clean comfortable room. Good safe area.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Restaurants were close, and there was a City Market with a Starbucks a couple of blocks away. Near 160 - major highway, but far enough away for quiet.
My kids and I had to do a quick overnight stay in Durango on the way to Denver. The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was quite and clean, in a safe area. To our surprise, there was a nice balcony on the back. It was a good, basic place with a nice breakfast included, and not noisy. If you're looking for a posh resort atmosphere, this is not it, but it's good for basic needs.

Value over glitz

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Value, value, value...and it was close to a Starbucks
Cons: Look...its older and outdated, but it is clean and functional.
My wife and I were going to Durango for a week and this hotel/motel was just fine. It is older, it doesn't have a lot of new anything (the TV was an older "picture tube" type), but for the cost we couldn't beat it. The bed was comfortable, the AC was efficient and QUIET!!! We were just looking for a place to sleep every night so we didn't need much. It was clean and served its purpose.

Travelodge, Durango, CO

Pros: It is located right by the river, which mad for very pleasant evening walks.
Cons: Travelodge could put the coffee pot somewhere in the room where there is actually and outlet so their customers could use it.
Location: I stayed at the Travelodge because I was in Durango for a wedding. The location is convenient for dining and getting around Durango.
The overall appearance of the hotel is run down. My room was dingy and dark. I booked the room for two consecutive nights and each morning I had to have the desk person reset our room keycards because they would no longer work. Also, checkout time is 11:00 a.m., however, the free Wi-Fi no longer worked at 5:00 a.m. on the day I was to check out of the hotel.

Pros: Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: Update the outside
First site the building looked old, but after getting into the room it was very spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the stay.
