"We enjoyed 3 days of recreation and relaxation by the lake. We took the kayaks out multiple times. It takes about 60-90 minutes to slowly paddle around the lake. There's a beaver's dam to visit, loads of lily pads/flowers, fish, turtles, and ducks. Less than 5 minutes away is a small park with a nice swimming area and hiking trails -- $2 admission per car. We could have walked to nearly everything in town, but it was raining so we didn't. We used the stovetop, coffee maker, and watched movies through the available streaming. There were some games in the house, and a welcome gift and note. Heating was comfortable. The manager was friendly. Overall, I'd book this place again."

"The property in is a very quiet place with beautiful views of the Battenkill River. There was plenty of room for our large dog to exercise. The owners were very professional and approachable. We did find kitchenware lacking in preparing our own food. The location was beautiful this time of year, but a bit out of the way as fair as restaurants and stores."

The main house is within view, but only as much as an average neighbor would be. It's one room, but it's above a three+ stall garage and PLENTY big enough for a full kitchen, dining table, two large beds, a wood burning fireplace and sitting area. "The converted upstairs apartment of a quintessential green barn is surrounded by all sides by picturesque views of the mountains. The setting is private; the host checked in but wasn’t obtrusive; and the field with the Adirondack chairs made our visit! The unit was a little challenging with young kids because it only has a shower, but we made it work for a long weekend."

"Amazing! Cannot get a better location! So close to everything! Quick walk to village shops and slopes. Very clean. Lots more room than I was expecting for two big 17 year old boys and parents. Kids had their own bedroom, bathroom and storage area on main floor, adult had master suite with own bathroom upstairs. Plenty of room in kitchen and family room. The only complaint is that hotels hot tubs and pool were over run with too many little kids. "

"We loved our stay at the chalet. It's perfectly situated in the cutest little neighborhood, while also feeling very secluded. The chalet had everything we needed for our stay. While visiting we walked a few of the trails nearby, part of the Valley Trail and the Hoot, Toot and Whistle. They were both perfect for our pups, especially during hunting season. We gave our pups an extra squeeze in honor of Scarlet. Thank you for sharing your place with us! We would love to stay again!!"

"We had a great stay at this cabin and the property. It's everything the write up says and then some. The owner is a true craftsman with an eye for creativity and for bringing the outside in. I wish I had taken a photo of my review that I left him handwritten in his leather bound book to share with you here. He has thought of everything to provide a peaceful, calm and tranquil getaway.
