"We had concerns before we got to the hotel based on the reviews but the apartment was awesome! The beds were ready for us with kids’ beds ready too and the kitchen functioned very well for us. The bedding was soft and felt pretty new. It was a comfortable stay. The location was great too. We can just walked to the lake with a bunch of unique houses and views. "

"We were greeted by the friendly owner. Having a kitchenette and living area was a welcome sight. Our first night (different hotel) was a very small room so the extra space was a welcome relief. The room was very clean and the views were stunning. There is a small deck with chairs to sit and enjoy the view. GPS had difficulty finding this but luckily we found a very helpful person to send us back in the correct direction. It is right on the ring road so it shouldn't have been a problem."

"I stayed her for 2 nights and really enjoyed my stay. It is about a 20 minutes drive from Egilsstaðir and nice and quiet location near the lake. Comfortable room for a solo traveler. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices including scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Breakfast staff is really friendly and makes you feel welcome. Reasonably priced when I stayed there. Would stay there again for sure."

"Nice simple place with everything we needed. The room was clean, pleasant, and had a great view of the mountains. Access to the kitchen and laundry was a great bonus. The staff member who supported us was very enjoyable and informative. We enjoyed our two night stay. "

"We planned on using the convenience of this guest house as a quick overnight on our way around Iceland. We should have used it as an anchor point. Terrific location, interesting town, amazing hiking all around, and the room was great. The full facility, including a terrific community kitchen were modern and meticulously maintained. All cooking equipment and dining utensils are there. We should have groceried up and spent 2-3 days launching from there "
