"Hotel is a gem in the middle of nowhere. Amazing view of the Glacier and an evening relaxing in the hot spring with a glass wine was just perfection. Easy hike to edge of hotel. Hostess was very gracious and helpful. Breakfast simple but tasty, coffee awesome."

"No space in shower or sink for toiletries and poor design of shower allows water to spread all over bathroom floor. Sloping ceiling over bed is problematic for taller guests and makes getting in and out of bed difficult. Other than cereal, coffee and some pourable yogurt, not much choice for breakfast and guests have to supply anything additional at their own expense. Overall, it’s a good, clean and comfortable place but with basic amenities."

"Spent two nights at this property. We showed up late in the night, but they had an easy self-check in process. Room was simple and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and warm. Breakfast had the essentials (coffee, tea, breads, spreads, eggs, meats, cheeses). Location was good for visiting Black Diamond Beach and the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. There weren't many dinner options around, so make sure to plan that in advance. Area was also dark enough to catch some northern lights. The shower...

"Kálfafellsstaður Guesthouse is a quaint, quiet B&B about 20 minutes NE of Diamond Beach. The property is clean and picturesque. Thora's breakfast was delicious and diverse. There's a sweet church next door and a cemetery that produced some lovely photos. She has a no shoes inside policy. No problem, but I would have brought slippers if I'd known. The room is small and it is a shared bathroom, but when we really needed to go and another guest was in there, Thora said we could use another...

"The property is located in a very picturesque place. You have a lot of privacy and the perfect place to enjoy the Aurora! Well equipped. We stayed two nights. 15 minutes drive to Höfn. The local pool is very nice too."
