The guest house is about 200 metres off the highway 1. A car is essential and we strongly advise that you take some food with you for your evening meal as the nearest restaurant is some distance away. It is a new modern building and we had a lovely clean functional quiet bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Breakfast has plenty of choice including freshly baked bread. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our one night stay. An excellent stop off if you are travelling around Iceland on route 1.
Nice view of mountain and lake. Staff was friendly and helpful. If wanna cook can walk over to the hostel side where there is a shared kitchen. Do note no kettle in room but hot water and coffee tea provided in the hallway thru out the night. Nothing neqrby.
