Cutting corners is not worth it!

Pros: front desk receptionist was friendly and courteous.
Location: Great food! Stay away from "Granny's Restaurant" - slow service, cold food. Otherwise fun little town.
Upon checking in, we were greeted by a very friendly female receptionist. Her (presumably) boss was there with another foreign employee/owner and talking loudly - so much so that it was difficult to hear what the girl was saying. When we got into our room (#217), it was hot. The AC was set at 68 degrees, but it was uncomfortably hot in the room. I turned it down to 65, and waited several hours and went to bed. We woke up during the night, and it was still uncomfortably warm. We left for the day, and returned to a - you guessed it - hot room. I called the front desk and they sent somebody up who looked at it and said 'I don't know what it is, but it doesn't seem to be working.' After a 45 minute wait, I called the front desk to check on the status, and the man said he came up but I was in the shower, so he couldn't look at the unit. - THAT WAS A LIE! After he checked it, he simply moved the thermostat from the condenser coils and sat it on the floor and said that would fix it. It didn't. bottom line - there was nothing they could do, they could not move us, and did not offer to compensate our stay in any way. *BONUS* - Selling Coca Cola out of Pepsi machines! wow.

Would of been beautiful if....

My bed sheets has stains all Over them which made me wonder if they were even clean. There was a sticky note on the head board and there was trash under the bed. For paying 170.00 a night I expected better. Also when I got in the whirlpool tub and turned the jets on stuff started coming out which grossed me out right away. I got this room for my anniversary and was excited but the experience was so bad. I was going to talk to the front desk but when I checked out she was on the phone for a while so I just left. I will never stay here again.

Big bed. Baby pillows.

The staff was very friendly. The bed, however, was extremely uncomfortable. Hard as a rock and springy. We had a king sized bed but travel size pillows! Every time I rolled over, my head fell off the pillow! Very frustrating! We left a night early to get a decent night's sleep.
