Was close to airport with shuttle service. Room was okay and clean. Simple and nothing to brag about. I really wish when people have to catch a plane before breakfast is served at 6 that the motel would provide some grab and go items such as yogurt, juice, granola bar or bagel and cream cheese. How hard would it be to put a basket of fruit out for a small group of travelers?

You get what you pay for......Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: The location was handy for my visit.
Cons: Better cleaning of the rooms, new bed and new fan for the bathroom.
Location: McDonald's is right next door, and many other businesses as well, such as the Nugget Mall.
The location of this hotel was convenient for my purpose of coming to Juneau. The rate was better than most of the hotels in the area. However upon checking in, I got to my room to find a dirty bath towel hanging up on a hook in the bathroom, that grossed me out, and the fan in the bathroom sounds like a jet taking off. The room was hot and I couldn't get the window to open, there was no fan there. The bed was okay, not very comfortable, it felt old. No one told me where the breakfast room was, I had to scout it out, it turns out it is on the 3rd floor, and the elevator is quite rickety, old and jumpy, I wondered if I was going to get stuck in it. The breakfast was okay, pretty typical for hotels.

This hotel was ridden hard and put away wet.Posted Jul 11, 2015
It was a bad sign when we called for a shuttle from the airport and the clerk was upset to answer the phone. Once there the hotel smelled of stale cigarettes and mold. We opened our window and left the room to air out. The staff was full of no information and we were left to fend for our selves. After a 4 hour trip around town we returned to our room to be greeted by a slightly less horrific smell. The beds were so worn out that my 7 year old shifting her weight on her bed caused our bed to vibrate. We cancelled our following stay and found another place to sleep.

Nothing super about this Super 8Posted Jul 8, 2015
I got into Juneau at 930pm. There were there to pick me up about 5 minutes after I called from the airport. The staff was nice and helpful. I was given a "non smoking" room which I prefer even as a smoker. I walked into that room and it was like diving into an ashtray. It was just gross. I booked m room in advance so I stayed ont the way back as well bit this time I specifically asked for a room that has never been a smoking room and that was a way better experience. I was told the rooms are first come first served so if you do stay there, because they do run cheaper, try to get there early to get a good room.

Go Elsewhere!Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Customer service, room cleaning, maintenance.
Location: Mendenhal Glacier
Gave away our room for the 1st night, even though we had a conf number. Staff was rude, surly, incompetent. The second night, we actually got to stay there, the room was dirty, the curtains were falling apart, no alarm clock, or phone. The highway is 50 ft away, noisy We were never asked if our stay was OK, never greeted when we came in.

You learn to love the rain in JuneauPosted Jun 28, 2015
Cons: They need new mattresses. At least they do in the room I stayed in.
Location: There isn't much nearby except McDonald's next door and a grocery (liquor) across the street.
Stopped for a quick visit to a customer and overnight on my way back from Anchorage. They have quick and efficient shuttle service from the airport (just around the corner) and evidently anywhere else within reason that you want to go. Room is large enough. Clean. Good shower. Internet works well.

close to airport has ferry and airport shuttlePosted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: The front desk and shuttle staff, the computer and printer at the front lobby would be great for printing boarding passes if the printer was working.
Cons: Cooling system,
Location: Great convenience store nearby, with good hours and good donuts! 1 mile from the airport. Staff at the front desk and the shuttle drivers were nice!
The room wouldn't cool down. Putting the temp at it's lowest didn't do much. Pulled covers on bed back and found a hair lying on the sheet. Good location. The one person working at 10 pm was overwhelmed by a big group trying to check in ( she couldn't find their reservation so they had to get 3 rooms at a different motel) plus 2 more couples and myself. She did a good job with all that stress and was able to multitask well. I guess the staff didn't know there would be a rush when the ferry came in.

Ok HotelPosted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Clean, close to the airport, free rides, breakfast
I stayed in this hotel in May 2015. Ok hotel. But I wish if I stayed in Downtown. I had to take buses to go to downtown everyday since all the tours starts from downtown. And I had to take taxies on Saturday and Sunday and also on Monday since it was memorial day on Monday. Juneau has a limited no of buses during the weekends (no buses after 5.40 or something) and no buses on public holidays at all. But if you have a car ,then nothing to worry Hotel is clean. But I think the amount I paid was too expensive for a budget hotel like this , but Juneau is anyway expensive. The hotel is little bit closer to Mendenhall glacier. But still you have to take a bus and then walk for around 2 miles. Good thing is the hotel has a van and they give free rides to the bus stop, but again you will have to walk from there to the glacier. Also, if you want to go a close by restaurant or to the airport, they give free rides. So that is something plus side of the hotel. Hotel is walking distance to the hotel. Didn't like the staff at the reception at all. They need to learn how to smile and be nice to people. Just do whatever the required is not enough for a staff at the reception. The lift was broken and they took four days to repair it. I was like really... If you want to get a nice hotel you have to pay a lot in Juneau, so I was ok with the hotel room since it was clean. Also, they have free breakfast which is nice. But you need to go early if you want to try all the options they have.
