Reviews were spot on. Musty smelling, dirty rooms. Hair in tub. Stained carpet. Shuttle was fine from the airport. We just stayed here to get the train early the next morning, but any hotel around the Hilton in downtown anchorage is only a short walk down the hill to the train station.

The property was very walkable to train station. The bed was comfortable. That being said, this property has seen better days and is due for a refresh.

The carpet and walls were stained. The first day there the cops were called. I went to breakfast and the employees were filling plates with food while guests were trying to get around them. Someone from the kitchen came out and told the other employees that their boss could show up at anytime. All in all I’d stay only one night an no longer.

The property is extremely expensive given the hotel conditions. My rooms window glass was cracked and put together with a duck tape. Fan wire box in the room was exposed which created an unsafe and hazardous environment for small children. There were hairs and small debris present in the shower area and one used towel was still hanging in the shower bathroom door which was disgusting! I complained these issues to the property manager but he pretty much brushed it off. This is outrageously expensive hotel at approximately $400 a night basic room with such an awful low standards.

I felt like I was duped. This hotel was horrible. I had no idea it was right by the train station, so the noise was awful all night long. Also the hotel itself looked dingy and gross with broken windows and a shabby exterior. The beds were super small and very uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet was gross. I would no recommend staying here to anyone.

The walk ways were nice but the overall appearance of the hotel was dirty. One of the sitting chairs had dried food on it, dirty carpeting, the amenities like the pool we were charged for was too cold to swim in, no towels in the pool room. My room was not cleaned, fresh towels or toilet paper were not offered so I went and bought my own towels and toilet paper. The morning I was leaving the desk staff a man came running after me yelling at that my dog needed to be leashed, my arms were full and I apologized but he kept yelling. Anyways I filed a complaint

Room was not cleaned and excuse was that they did not have staff. We changed three rooms and all of them same. Smell so bad and was about to change to a different hotel but kids were already tired. Hope they change the situation.

The property is in a great location but the hotel needs improvement from the room condition to the staff. I was not impressed but the location helped offset that since we were in a pretty good location. Overall, if you don’t plan on staying in your room much and like to sightsee, this hotel is sufficient. With prices so inflated in Anchorage during the summer, I feel it is too much money to be spending for a below average property.
