This is my second time at Catalonia and I could not have been happier...........The rooms are a descent size by European standards and the stairway that leads you from the top to the bottom of the hotel is a work of art at every turn. The staff is very professional and have great recommendations for things to do in Madrid. If you decide to stay here email the staff ahead of time and ask to make a reservation at Botin. It is the oldest restaurant in the world and is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. You need a reservation and the staff is happy to accommodate.

Although Atocha is not the most charming street in Madrid, it is a great location and the hotel more than makes up for the neighborhood. Stylish, clean, great staff and loved the bathroom with rain shower.
One request would be for coffee maker in room.

The hotel is very well situated, not too near the town center (no nightime disturbance) and still close enough to walk to the town center. Great room, clean. Breakfast was excellent, good variety of food. Staff was very helpfull. Will certainly go back.

Nice hotel near all the important landmarks in Madrid
I was given a room over looking a building shaft i got back to the receptionist and asked for a room that looks at the road gran via
So they gave me an other room very nice with 2 windows
Each window opening had 2 double glassed window so the room was super insulated from the noise and temperature
Overall I recommend the hotel but ask for the rooms that are on the gran via side!!!'
