"Our family came from different places and stayed together here at the cottage for a wedding. There was plenty of room and four bathrooms was wonderful. The home had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay in beautiful Buchanan, Virginia! We spent time sitting on the outside porches listening to the sound of the brook."

"My mother and sisters stayed at Hidden Valley Farm for the Mother's Day weekend. We loved every moment of our stay. The Hosts were awesome! The cottage was beautiful and very accommodating for our stay! We used every space available in the cottage and outside. It was such a peaceful and restful place. We were close to many activities - the area is rich in history. Lastly, the animals on the farm were awesome and we enjoyed watching and visiting them all! We hope to stay here again in the future!"

"The grain silo was amazing! As you pull in, you see cows on both sides of the driveway. Nice rolling hills absolutely beautiful waking up to the roosters crowing in the morning was awesome. Jimmy was amazing willing to help out anyway he could. Tons of space for kids or just to sit back and relax."

"From the moment we arrived at the property and identified ourselves as the family staying at Elmo's rest, we were treated like part of the family. We arrived at the house to find everything clean and ready even though we were a couple hours early. The house is a century old so floors creak and some doors stick a bit. "This was out home base for our daughter’s college graduation and we couldn’t have dreamed of a better location. The house slept our family comfortably and provided beautiful mountain views as far as the eye could see. Just minutes from breweries and wineries but the best experience by far, aside from the graduation, was an early morning cup of coffee on the back porch watching all the birds, rabbits, and deer start their day."
