We had a college graduation party to attend on Saturday, and being from PA, we decided to make a weekend of it since we had to drive pretty far. On the last day, we decided to hike Crabtree Falls and we made it to the top of the falls. Excellent hike, but you have to be in good shape and go on a dry day because of slippery conditions. "Our stay at the Irish Farmhouse was perfect! The property is well designed and appointed and an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding landscape and area. We didn’t get use the porch or fire pit as it was too cold but definitely will next time we stay. Everything was spotless, the furniture was comfortable and the kitchen had just what we needed for a meal that we picked up from a local grocery store. Close to downtown Lexington but far enough away to feel remote. We can’t wait to plan...

"A great place for a small family to stay! We liked everything about it. The stairs are steep — almost more of a ladder — so unless kids are a little older or good at obeying their parents, I’d offer a bit of caution is required. But the cottage was quiet and lovely for our 2-day visit to Sweet Briar College, especially since lodging was hard to find. Communication with the manager was clear and easy via SMS and email. Look no further!"

"The house is adorable. Every little comfort has been thought about and provided. From the couch to the bedding, it felt like a home. The outside is fabulous. Woods and a great firepit made the nights fun and full of laughter. We spent the days hiking the AT or enjoying a good book, that we found from the ample selection, on the shelves inside. "What can I say other than, Magnifique! The cabin was beautifully furnished (sharp knives, fast internet, hot water, ample soap & linens) and a lover's oasis. The indoor fireplace and working hot tub w/ jets are the high selling points of the cabin. Wood interior throughout makes it feel warm and inviting. Kingsized bed is memory-foam soft.10 minutes from downtown Lexington, VA, you can easily get all essentials and cook up a fine meal. Cabin was clean, easy to locate, and worth returning to."
