Run down hotel and staff was rude!

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: The elevator was fast.
Cons: Staff (especially check in staff) need to be more friendly and helpful.
We arrived at 3:00pm, which is check in. Had to wait 1.5 hours on our room to be ready. When we asked about it we were basically told it was our fault because we wanted in the tower with our other party to which we replied our rooms were booked together months ago! After being given our key card, we got to our room and it was stil being cleaned! Balcony door handle was broken off. Refrigerator door would not close flush, so items never really got cold. Bed was squeaky and hard as a brick! We were not given pillows for the sofa bed. We did not have a TV remote. Continental breakfast was mediocre.

Just okay.

The hotel convenience to the beach was the best part. Conteniental breakfast was good. The hotel for me was not clean enough. But for the price and the length of our stay it was ok. I couldn't have stayed longer than the weekend. My husband and kids enjoyed themselves. When we got there our room was not ready. It was already 3:30. We didn't get into our room until 5:30. We hung at the pool and were given complimentary drinks at the tiki bar. I had to ask though. I think since our room wasn't ready it should have been offered to us. The destination fees were more than what was listed on the Expedia site.

Close to beach

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Right next to the beach.
Cons: Parking
Location: Next to beach and a small general store. A mile or two away was the main highway with lots to do, eating, shopping, entertainment, etc.
Had a room where the balcony overlooked to the ocean. Perfect! A bit older hotel, but was kept up nicely. Only heard a child running overhead on occasion, but found the room to be well insulated. Our room (suite) had a king bed, a queen bed, a kitchenette, sofa, and two TV's, along with the other basic items such as a desk and clean bathroom. Nice breakfast buffet with a lot to choose from. Swimming pool was nice, although we didn't use it. There was a wash off area to clean sand from our feet/bodies. The Tiki bar was not at our location, but was just next door at the other, taller, Best Western building. Not as impressive as the photos depict. I expected it to be part of the pool area but instead was several feet away. There was a small lazy river next to the larger pool. Unless you have one of the 15 or so vehicles that can park at the hotel site, you will have to park across the street or down at another parking lot that is part of the Best Western hotels. Not a big deal for us as we always seemed to find a spot across the street, but may be for some. Small general store across the street.

Ok not great

Posted Jun 20, 2015
The hotel staff was great but they were rushed to get us, in which hurried the cleaning of our room. It your just looking for a place to crash it was fine. If we were going for a vacation experience I would have been a little disappointed.

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff.

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Clean room and friendly staff.
Cons: Parking is not convenient. Can be a problem depending on the days that you are there. Better during weekdays than weekends.
Location: Ripley's Aquarium and Broadway at the Beach offered something for everyone to enjoy.
Checked in on Wednesday afternoon for a long weekend. Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.

Not bad for what it is - good for families

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Clean, friendly, not too many lights at night ( I object to lights on the beach at night), decent facility.
Cons: Pretty good
Location: Everything was close by
This is a facility that has some of the things other resorts have - a pool, lazy river, hot tub, tiki bar just on a smaller scale. It was clean, and seemed to be pretty well run. Very family oriented, and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
