great stay!!Posted Apr 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
We needed a few days away from the deep south rainforest of South china. So we checked in for three days. Room was great, pool was nice but cool, usd pricing on drinks at the bar and they tried to up charge for a Jameson's and coke until I chatted with them. Great place, great value....

Nice upscale neighborhoodPosted May 14, 2013
Location: walking distance of shopping and dining
The experience was excellent for someone who has not been to the orient in 40 plus years. The hotel staff was professional and helpful in all ways. I would suggest that any one stay here for a extremely pleasant visit to Nanning China.

Awesome hotelPosted Mar 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
I really liked my stay and the beds are so comfortable. The place could be a tad cleaner but overall it's very good. The service is good also and they can speak a bit of english which helps a lot. I'd come back again for sure.

Pros: Executive Lounge
Marriott to the core. Very well run hotel. most staff had a good basic understanding of english. Away from the centre of the city, but basic transport easly available.

return business stayPosted Mar 12, 2012 on Hotels.com
second time i stay at marriott in nanning, as always the staff are excellent, position of hotel near major shops and cafes...only issuye is the VGA connection in the rooms and wifi VGA still not work so had issue connecting my laptop to tv WIFI was slower then expected but over all it was a good stay and my fiance/wife thought it was a bit expensive but once in the hotel and room and saw the service they provide was very happy with the hotel aswell overall great hotel but prices are a bit high, but keeps it upper class in hotels so the stay is worth the money

next time I go nannig, china i will stay at marriott hotel, it was a bit expensive but it had english speaking staff, doormen were always polite and i have to say, maybe there are cheaper 4-5 star but it was worth going there as it always smelt nice, rooms were large enough, lifts sometimes took a while if busy but u keep in mind it has gym(24/7) swimming pool,spa.etc. i highly recommend this hotel if u can afford, if not i recommend u stay there for atleast 2-3 days just to taste the good life. room service was good(bit $$$$) but food was always good, they even have health choices, if u have problem they solve it with a smile. only thing i did not like was I extended my stay from 15th floor and went 18th. 15th had excellent WI-FI(join marriott club and it iis free) but on the 18th the WI-FI was not as good and the tv connection(did i say the rooms have connections near pc desk to connect laptop to tv..42"lcd) anyway the connection was not good..but they bought a long VGA cable to room and installed so i could watch movies from laptop and work at same time...bd.. my thoughts are this..u might be able to find cheaper 4 **** but try this hotel, it was worth the money just for a few days..my trip was cut short due to stay issues but it was worth the extra money i paid...i rank it in the high 4****, just dont like the thought of how much i paid to stay and the staff earn so little money?? i tried to tip but they kept saying no?..It made my stay in china really good and the shop around it were great, there is a walmart down road, many department stores and a really big shopping mall..I have to say it has ruined my thoughts of australian hotels and well i actually want to go back to china just for the noise(mind u the noise level is low there) and just to stay in the hotel, some items in shops is expensive but compared to australia it is cheap...highly recommend this hotel and go shopping, also there are many restuarants in the area, but dont go KFC...you pay $10 but get small serve??the chinese foods are great there aswell... reccommend with bdbdbdbd 4 thumbs up

I will always stay in this Hotel when visiting Nanning, China.Posted May 28, 2010
TRULY LIKED; 1. Being a New Hotel, the Room was excellent. The room contained all necessary toiletries (2 Dental pastes; Shaving kit: Combs, Shampoos; Soaps, Conditioners etc) very good Room slippers etc. 2. All Reception and Lobby Staff members were the best I have ever --------------------- experience. They were extremely polite, efficient and made feel your were really welcomed in the Hotel. DISLIKED 3. My only concern as with all Hotels in China was that smoking was in the Lobby and the Lounge. It is most annoying. 4. The room was not cleaned in the evening. Overall, I enjoyed the stay and cannot wait until I return to this Hotel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
