Naples, Florida Hotel Rooms at the Independent

My husband and I enjoy birdwatching, and we saw some fabulous birds right outside our room. If you love nature, the Ivey House is the perfect starting point to explore the Everglades. Their naturalist, John, is a knowledgeable, good-natured individual who organizes great day trips and provides a fun-filled experience. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean, and there is plenty of furniture to store clothing: you don't have to live out of your bag! Unlike most Florida accommodations that serve processed, sugary, nutritionally impoverished breakfasts, the Ivey House provides real fresh fruit that is, ironically, rare in Florida, and the fruit isn't doused in preservatives. They also offer hot oatmeal (not the quick-cooked, substandard variety), which is another rare treat in this part of the world. I am very impressed with the caring and thoughtfulness, the focus on healthy environmental practices, as well as the cleanliness of the rooms and the and attractive decor. I would definitely stay at the Ivey House again.

I was very worry with the negative reports but i am glad that our two homes were in great condition. I will be going there again.

If you are looking for a great "get away" the Inn is the place for you. The breakfast was delicious , room spacious overlooking a delightful view of the lake and pool, the front desk was accommodating, and drive to the beach was great. I will return to this vacation spot next year.

This was a birtday trip for my sister-we were amazed at the attention to detail. The hotel is beautiful, convenient to shopping, great restaurants and the beach. The staff was pleasant and available but not intrusive. It was a perfect break from our horrible Boston winter!

The hotel is walking distance to the Fifth Avenue shops and restaurants. The lobby is inviting, the room was comfortable and spacious. Very good value hotel.

The Lemon Tree is a bright, quirky, characterful hotel in a very central location. Very clean, bright comfortable and large rooms. They are set around a lovely garden with a beautiful, heated swimming pool at the centre, Good continental breakfast is included - our kids loved the chocolate muffins. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Visiting friends in Fort Myers and Marco. Picked MIIS based on price and reviews. Thought 2 bedroom/ 2 baths was a misprint but it was not. Beach front was not a requirement. Cozy, well maintained with nice landscaping. Quaint shops and art gallery on site. Small and large restaurants. Quiet with a short walk to marina restaurant with outside bar and live music. I am a light sleeper - slept like a rock. Will be back.

If you want to get away and enjoy some peace. This is the place to go.
