Clean, convenient and comfortablePosted Nov 17, 2013
This hotel was very clean with updated decor and fixtures in the room. The parking is convenient and right off the street. The location is central to many attractions. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Although not fancy, this hotel was very comfortable and welcoming.

Had a nice time.Posted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: It's close to where my daughter lives.
Location: Menlo Park is a quiet town, but the hotel is right near Caltrain and you can go to San Francisco on Caltrain
The room was clean and there was bottled water and trail mix waiting for us when we arrived. They have a fantastic breakfast in the morning and we made out own waffles.

An oldie but a goodiePosted Oct 10, 2013
This is a case where the outer appearance does not reflect the quality of the service provided. Located an easy walk to Fishermans Wharf or short cab ride to Union Square, this hotel was an ideal base to tour San Francisco. Off street parking provided. Shower had a seat in it which was a great way to recover after the riding tour. Staff were friendly. Good wifi in the rooms.

ConvenientPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The service was great..Everyone was accommodating..my only criticism(constructive): the Stairs looked worn..The steps need to be replaced for recovered..a more modern type to flooring.... they should repaint the outside, every so many years for a fresh new look..Like they did with the rooms...

It's the little things...Posted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The management and staff go to extra lengths to make you their priority. We enjoyed the small touches, especially the charging station with every kind of plug receptor you could possibly need.... would love to see them add flavored coffee creamers and something different from the usual carb-heavy breakfast fare. We would stay again if our travels take us that way....

Great LocationPosted Aug 27, 2013
It had a nice location, near to where I was going. But I was upgraded to two doubles when I wanted a king, and I waited in the lobby for 10 minutes before someone appeared to check me in. I even called the front desk from my cell phone and listened to the phone ring for 5 minutes as I sat there, tired and cranky.

Quick check in and outPosted Aug 26, 2013
Location: Few short miles from Stanford, plenty of restaurants in walking distance.
I arrived late, midnight, exhausted, and they had me in my room in 5 minutes. Free waffles for breakfast and dropped the key on the desk on my way out.

Menlo Park Inn is underrated-- excellent value!Posted Aug 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was very pleased with my last-minute stay here, the price was cheaper through hotels.com than directly with the front desk. Don't judge the outside-- looks like a cheap motel but the room was large, well-appointed, comfortable firm beds, wireless internet, fridge for convenience, koureg coffee machine with starbucks pod in room... although nearly 2-3 miles from Stanford Hospital, there is a free shuttle from the Caltrain Menlo Park Station one block away (take the tan BOH= bohannon bus) from 6:40am-approx 6pm. If you need to leave earlier, catch the 5:48 Caltrain south to Palo Alto Station for $3 and hop on ANY of a number of free shuttles to the medical center. My father was hospitalized there and this was a very convenient, easy, friendly, CLEAN place to stay. No complaints.
