"Perfect Location - Perfect for some, not for others"
First, this is not your typical hotel. In fact it's not a hotel at all. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous and want a different sort of Venice experience I highly recommend this B&B. You'll basically be staying in your own apartment complete with well stocked kitchen. If you're after a typical hotel with service desk etc. it's not for you. My wife and I loved it. First the location is right in the center of a very popular area of Venice so everything you need is within walking distance. The place is a bit hard to find, but upon arrival the owner of the B&B gave me his cell phone number and clear instructions. The apartment is located on a small quiet street and is several floors up with no lift so you'll need to navigate multiple flights of stairs. Giorgio is an amazing host. He made my wife and I very comfortable in Venice including restaurant recommendations and was available whenever we had questions. He is what made the visit perfect. The room was clean and refreshed daily. If you're used to staying in a very nice hotel it might feel a bit too "real" for you. If you have issues with stairs this would not be the place for you. If you are wanting a great place to stay that is comfortable, convenient and you want to feel like you are living like a local would, this is a great place and we would highly recommend it.

Room in Venice Bed & Breakfast

"Great location, even greater hospitality"
I stayed here in July 2013 with a friend. We shared a double room (Queen-Sized Bed). Three things to point out: 1. The location is fantastic. Admittedly, the place was not very straightforward to locate at the beginning. (Though it's easy to get lost in Venice itself!) Subsequently, though, we were so thankful for the location of the B&B. 5 minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge, and walking distance from everything else! 2. Unparalleled hospitality. The host, Claudete, is one of the warmest people you will ever meet - more so even than the typical B&B owner. She was always happy to chat with us and to help us find our way around Venice, giving us recommendations for food & drink etc. Not to mention that she also brought a lovely breakfast spread to our room each morning. 3. The room & toilet were very clean. Enough said.

"My review"
The B&B is very close to the square and Rialto Bridge, which was the reason we booked it. The island is pretty small and it is easy enough to walk around though. Getting something this close is not as much of a necessity as we expected, though we were pleased. The rooms looked as advertised. They are small, but we were there to visit the city and I imagine most rooms in Venice are small. We were given the larger room with small terrace and it was very nice and clean. The owners don't really speak English, but, we were in Italy after all so no complaints about that. This was our first stop and we had trouble getting up early and going; FYI they want to clean at 11 so plan on not being there. The breakfast was mostly bread, which tasted pretty good and the cappacino was awesome. They bring it to your room, which was nice since we were up so late every day. My boyfriend needed to finish some work while we were there and internet access was a bit of an issue. They only allow a couple of hours at a time, and if no one is at reception and you run out, you are out. This was the biggest con in my book, but in the grand scheme of things not too much trouble. We were worried they were charging for it, but they weren't, it's free. Also, the bed and pillows were a bit hard, just like everywhere else in Italy. Overall, the owners were nice and friendly, the location was fantastic, and the room was pretty. I liked it, would recommend it, and would stay there again.

"Super Location!"
Extremely nice owners and staff. Located very centrally. If you are looking for 5 star amenities this is not the place however if you are OK with super nice people giving you a clean room and willing to help you in any way then you are in heaven. There is the hotel then rooms cross the street (10 yards) rooms where we stayed. It might seem different because it is separate however all went well and being in Venice most places are small. (for American tourist) We had a great time! And will stay there again. Thank you Staff :)

"Great little hotel between San Marco & Rialto."
I moved to this hotel after 2 nights in another hotel. The other was more expensive and not nearly as nice. This was a great place for me- clean, safe, convenient to sights, etc.

"GREAT accommodation!"
Stayed at Ca' del Nobile for a holiday in Venice in May. Unfortunately, there was an error with our online booking, but the staff went out of their way to make up for it and make us comfortable. We had to stay at an alternate hotel (very close by and good accommodation) for a couple nights of our stay, but the nights we stayed in Ca' del Nobile were excellent. Our room was upgraded and we were provided with a bottle of Prosecco as well as an offer to return to their suite room at a standard room price if we found ourselves in Venice again. They also refunded us one night's stay for the inconvenience. Overall, the owners and staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive to our every need. We will definitely return to Ca' del Nobile if in Venice again. Very clean, very comfortable, very friendly and in a great location. We would highly recommend Ca' del Nobile!

"Very nice, roomy, awesome location and staff."
This hotel is a short distance (and I mean a U.S.'city' block or a few blocks) from San Marco Basillica, Rialto Bridge, Doge's Palace, the Grand Canal, the boardwalk along the lagoon, Hard Rock Cafe, lots of restaurants, tons of shopping and a good place to catch a gondolier ride. Sooo awesome. We loved the location. You can lean out the window to watch (and sometimes listen to singing) gondoliers. The apartment had a bedroom with a comfy King size bed and there's a hide-a-bed sofa in the kitchen room for our kids. There was a T.V. in the kitchen room, a table big enough for 4 to eat at, plus it has a nice size half fridge, a stove, hot water pot, microwave, sink, some dishes. If you want pots and pans, use of the dishwasher or the clothes washer/dryer that is extra 50 Euros. We didn't need the extra stuff, we were great having the fridge, hot pot, microwave. The decor and style of the room is not the fanciest you will ever see but it was perfectly clean and in excellent repair- nothing seemed worn out or needing replacement. The staff was consistently warm, helpful, and efficient from our first arrival to our last departure.... they really could not have been better or nicer or more professional. Our room was cleaned promptly after our first morning outing. We got lots of helpful info. for the asking at the front desk. They called a water taxi for us (the night before) so we had a ride to the airport right from the hotel (spendy, but I recommend it). Venice is very beautiful!

Pocket Guide: Venice San Marco Independent Hotels

San Marco (St Mark’s) is quintessential visitors’ Venice. The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doge’s Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.
