Before I get into my other issues, this hotel is really truly lacking in cleanliness. First time female solo traveler with my service dog, got in pretty late, front desk guy immediately made me uncomfortable with his lack of friendliness and rudeness as he laughed at me when saying my dog was a service animal. Then proceeded to question me about if he was an emotional support animal instead. I wasn’t having it and just wanted to hurry things along. He then proceeded to try and joke with me saying maybe I just don’t want to talk to other people since I’m traveling alone. Finally got to the room and I started panicking. I had just drove from south Florida and incredibly tired. The room was absolutely gross. Dust everywhere, it looked like no one had entered the room in months. Debating whether or not I could handle going back down to face front desk guy or just cleaning it myself. I decided to try to get another room. Went down, it was now a front desk lady. While it was obvious she was judging me, she was able to give me another option that I could just move myself into. On my way back to my original room I went and looked at the new room. It was even WORSE. Nasty mildew around bathroom, sink and fridge. The freezer was full of frost/ice and the room was much smaller. I was appalled. Went back to my original room and decided there was no way I would move to the new room. I grabbed a towel and started wiping every surface down so I could at least be a little more comfortable.
