Located away from the centre but close to temples

I liked the hotel because it was clean, staff were friendly, breakfast was ok-ish and pretty close to teh temple. I didnt mind staying away from the town because it was so crowded. It was easier in the mornigns to get to the temples from this hotel.

Really nice staff.

I spend 7 nights at The Angkor Way Hotel. The staff here was so nice. Most of the time it didn't really seem like they were sure about what they were doing - but they did their best to do it right everytime! They always greeted us when we met them in hallways or in the reception. One should keep in mind that Cambodia lacks educated people due to a lot of them fleeing the country or being killed in the late 70's - this makes everything seem a little.. amateur-ish at times. But again - everyone are super nice and will try their best to help you. The hotel was conveniently placed close to Siem Reap (5 or 10 minutes on tuk tuk) and Angkor Wat (maybe 20 minutes). All in all: We really enjoyed our stay here!

Excellent budget accommodation in Siem Reap

The hotel itself is a semi-modern property located on the road to Angkor, hence it's name, and a short tuk tuk ride from night life. Floors, doors, panelling and furniture are all solid teak making the interior charming but somewhat dark and management saves money with very little use of lighting whether it's day or night. 2 lights in our room did not work and water pressure was so low it rendered the shower (over bath) useless. Included breakfast is average quality although some may enjoy an overcooked omelette and toast with watered down juice and milk. Coffee tastes nothing like coffee but it's passable. Staff are friendly and efficient, there's a lift, rooms are squeaky clean and well appointed and the beds very comfortable. On price alone I would certainly recommend the hotel.
