If you sat on the toilet, it was like sitting on a rocking chair. The toilet was loose from the floor. The food for breakfest was terrible. The shower head leaked bad.

Be Careful about smoking or non-smokingPosted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: I did not like this hotel.
Location: Nothing near
I booked the hotel 4 month ahead of my stay. My confirmation sheeet said "Request: Two queen, non-smoking room" but I dont think I "requested" this but I believe I "booked" non-smoking room. That is a trick, I think. You should be careful about what they say in the website and also in the confirmation sheet. Remember what you book when you do. The smoking room is suck. Even you use a fan, never get rid of the smell. Also there is nothing out there except this hotel. I dont think I will be

Not clean and bad locationPosted Oct 20, 2014
There were many stains in the carpet. The bed was comfortable. Not many tv channels. The location was not close to downtown St. Louis, actually kind of scary.

Deserted town.Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Nothing really.
Cons: What really matters in the end is cleanliness. Freshen up the place. New paint, new carpeting, stain free furniture will go a long way.
Location: Close to downtown. Thou I'm not sure surroundings didn't feel safe.
The hot breakfast included a waffle station, oatmeal, Eggs -which needed to be heated in the microwave. Also had some fruit and cereal. Cant complain for free, right? No, I expected more. The lobby felt very small and dark. Worst of all the stained carpeting on the floors throughout the hotel even in the rooms on the couch. And that odor. Ugh....

Good location, valuePosted Sep 28, 2014
Location: The Crown Candy Shop is a landmark ice cream and sandwich cafe about a half mile away, in the Old North St Louis neighborhood, and a coffee shop.
This hotel was comfortable, clean, and apparently safe. It is quite near the Old North St Louis neighborhood redevelopment, which is quite a plus. It is not too far from downtown, so I was pleased with our stay and would recommend it to anyone who does not need luxury, but a decent place to stay.

Nice hotel close to downtownPosted Sep 23, 2014
It was nice clean and quiet. It was safe and security was good. Breakfast was good, but they should serve some type of meat, beef or pork sausage, bacon or ham.

Close to the downtown attractions like ball gamesPosted Sep 21, 2014
Not clean. Floors stained and dirty. Lobby furniture stained and worn. Breakfast was minimal the sign above the food had dust bunnies ready to tumble in the food. The room was hot as was the food area. Must of been 85 when we checked in at 10 pm. Took all night to cool it off. Wont stay here again.

The hotel was very musty feeling. There were stains on the floor and an odd smell. The hotel was in the middle of rundown buildings. Would not go back.

Decent hotel in a shady neighborhoodPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: I liked the free breakfast, free parking, and the proximity to downtown. A thirty minute walk gets you downtown.
Cons: The location is close to downtown, but you have to pass through some sketchy neighborhoods and the surrounding buildings are fairly run-down.
Location: Nothing is nearby the hotel, but downtown is only a few miles away and there is the Arch (don't forget the old courthouse home of Dred Scott trial).
We arrived at the hotel to two workers standing in the lobby that completely ignored us, then saw a sign that said ring the phone number to reach the clerk, who promptly came out to check us in. We were informed not to walk alone in the area, especially at night, but it is okay in groups. The hotel was surrounded by run down/empty businesses, but was nicely maintained. The hotel is not new by any means, but seems to be taken care of well. The clerk was there the entire stay and was prompt with most requests (though we did wait for over an hour for a towel in the morning). The room was pretty clean, aside from a few minor stains in the bed spread. There was a free breakfast that was satisfactory, nothing extravagant. The hotel is in walking distance to a lot of attractions downtown and we didn't feel unsafe on our walk around downtown from the hotel.
