"An overnight at Ambassadors Bloomsbury"
My wife and I (60-somethings) were looking for a good value hotel close to the tube and St. Pancras rail station, that had a lift (elevator). Most other hotels we looked at on Expedia were more expensive or had no lift. While our room was very clean and well-appointed, it was quite small, had a window view of air ducts and ladders, better for a business traveller perhaps. We didnt use any amenities or services. Friendly and helpful front desk and concierge staff.

"Welcoming, quiet hotel with great food"
A warm, welcoming, friendly atmosphere where the staff really do go 'that extra mile' to make sure you feel welcome. The Harrison is a small gastropub in a quiet residential location within a very easy walk to St Pancras and Kings Cross yet just off the main streets. Our room was warm, clean and comfortable with a plentiful supply of different teas and coffees. The bed was superb! The bathroom was functional with lots of hot water, though it could benefit from some touching up of grouting etc. The full english breakfast and the bacon bap were delicious - high quality produce beautifully cooked. The fresh fruit was delicious and a very generous portion. We also had dinner at The Harrison - one of the best meals we've had for ages. Everything was beautifully cooked and very high quality. A word of caution: the rooms are up two flights of quite steep stairs so if you don't like stairs, The Harrison may not be for you.

"My overall experience of the Judd Hotel"
I have stayed at the Judd hotel on several occasions. I have always found it clean and quiet. The staff I have met have always been polite. They spoke good English and have treated me with respect. I have been comfortable when I have stayed there. There was one occasion, when noisy latecomers woke me up, but that is hardly the fault of the hotel staff. I would certainly stay there again and indeed am thinking of doing so next week when I am in London. I was quite surprised to read some of the reviews when I last looked at the hotel website after staying there last week. My only other comment is that it would have been helpful to have an earlier breakfast start at 07.00 am to enable me to leave London before the traffic gets too bad. I will certainly stay there again.

"Lovely B&B"
First, the bad: -The room was small -Lots of stairs -The plug sockets were in a bit of an inconvenient location -The toilet didn't have much sound-proofing which is uncomfortable if you're staying with a partner (and either of you are prudish)... I've tried to be fair and even here, but it was quite difficult to come up with that list. The truth is, our stay was overwhelmingly positive. The only ones of those that really caused us any irritation were the toilet (because I'm a prude with IBS), and the plug socket location, because I wanted to use the laptop in bed - a problem which could easily be solved by putting in an extension lead. The room was small, but it's London (so to be expected), and it was so well laid out and equipped that this really didn't cause any problem, and was actually nice and cosy. Now, for the positives. The staff were really pleasant and welcoming - from the staff on the desk who were always smiling and seemed genuinely interested in our day, to the staff serving breakfast downstairs. Breakfast, for those who are interested, is served in the basement, and there's a table with the usual cereal, milk, fruit, etc on, but if you want something cooked like a cooked breakfast or toast then the staff cook it for you on the spot - which is a very efficient and nice way of doing things (unlike the wasteful normal way of simply having plates with it on, which often results in flies or the food being cold).
