"We had a great time at the sawmill cottage! Jen was a wonderful host and even gave us a tour of her farm, highly recommend! The cottage was clean and bed was comfortable. Absolutely no cell service or television, and that gave us some time to spend unplugged and play board games and watch dvds together!! Campfire area is awesome as well. Loved it, thanks Jen for the experience and helping us with maps of the area!"

"Well kept home, everything you need in the kitchen, close to the Caverns. The host were wonderful, replied to any messages I sent very fast, only thing I would change about this house would be a blind or curtain in kitchen window and covering over the front glass door but that wouldn't stop me from renting this home again if I was to return to the area. Thanks for making my stay a wonderful one!"

"Super quaint little cottage, exactly what we needed. The hosts are incredibly sweet and accommodating. The view is of open farmland with mountians in the distance. The sun sets off the back of the cottage and theres a wonderful view. Really wonderful spot!"

Would love to come back when the weather is warmer and float or swim in the river. Farm fresh eggs left by super responsive host were great!"

"The property was gorgeous and very relaxing. The cottage was clean and well kept with a comfy bed and cute coffee bar. The couch is a bit uncomfortable, but we didn’t spend much time lounging anyways. Great location and close to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park for hiking. "My family and I stayed at The Gingerbread House for my brothers graduation from JMU. House is exactly as pictured and described. It’s a perfect and cozy home for family. There were two living areas we could spread out and a perfect little dining room for family meals. The hosts had these cute little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash set up and plenty of linens. Really lovely stay."

The house was clean and comfortable with an outstanding view of the sunset. Your location was very convenient for our kayak fishing floats and equal distance from our respective homes. "The property itself met my expectations and was pleasant to stay at, however, upon check-in i was told that there would be an extra cleaning fee (expedia wont let me include the price but it was a good amount). I was a little surprised and wished they had made that more clear before i booked the property, but at that point i had to pay the fee. Following that, we were given a checklist of our duties upon checkout that included stripping the beds, washing all dishes, taking out the trash,...
