Extremely bad hotel -staff smile through it!

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Cons: Everything
This was a secret saver hotel- what a nightmare This hotel throws you into a time vortex back into the 70s. It's definitely in need of serious refurbishment, the room was unbearably cold. Forget wifi- the only way to access the internet was at the front of the lobby on a isolated computer from the museum of computers gone by Location - VERY far from advertised As for Breakfast- the choice of caster sugar cakes far surpassed any nightmare The eggs- forget it The fruit- class 3 from local supermarket, they found boxes of apricots being thrown away at the back of the store and used for breakfast Coffee, nothing to say The welcome drink voucher was only saving grace There is nothing to say but avoid avoid avoid I am not high maintenance and have lived in tents.... Comfortable. Internet is very expensive.

Comfortable and clean, however the Internet is extremely expensive (12.50 EUR for 24 hours) and can only be utilized by one device at a time, this was disappointing.

Bad experience

Hotel far away from the city, taxi cost 15 euro each way, Internet slow and only one device, and you have to pay for it 13 euro, off course breakfast was horrible, cheap food, tax 2 euro extra for every one staying there

Only if you have no other option.

Cons: 5.50 / hour for Internet access ! most hotels it is free
Location: Local people told us it is not such a nice neighborhood, we felt unsafe returning late at night.
Average hotel, in not a nice area of town, 25-30 minutes by local bus to centre of Verona. The ramp to the garage is very badly designed. It is steep and at the top has an abrupt sharp edge, which scraped and damaged the exhaust pipe of my car. Don't use the garage if your car has low profile tyres and/or it is a nice car!

great location

slightly out of downtown but there is a bus close by so it easy to get downtown. If you are going to the opera the hotel has a reasonably priced bus that drops you off and then picks you up. There is a supermarket next door so you can eat cheaply if you so wish.

Excellent Verona Value and Quality

The staff was extremely helpful and the hotel was very nice. No free wifi, but all the other amenities were there. About a 7 minute drive to central Verona.

good hotel, with weird WiFi policy

Posted Jun 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
I start with positives, very clean, friendly personnel (except the manager!!), great breakfast, comfortable room. The negatives: far from dowdowntown and not that close to bus station. The worst part is the WiFi, the 4 star hotel does not have free wifi even in the lobby and charges €12.90 per day per connection. It is weird that the connection can not be used even on turn on two different computers. I stayed in several hotels during my trip to europe and they all either had free wifi or chaged max €5 per day per connection.
