What a great time! We got married at the Mount Washington Hotel a year ago and everything was wonderful. We decided what better way to celebrate our 1st year of marriage than to go back for more....we did and boy did we get more! The staff not only was awesome but when they found out it was our 1st Anniversary and we had been married there they wanted to upgrade our room, sent complimentary chocolate covered strawberries to our room with a message written in chocolate on the plate and a hand written card. The staff @ Stickney's gave us a post card with all of their best wishes written on it and the bartender walked me to the upgraded room to make sure I liked it. Talk about over and above treatment! Love this place and we plan on going back every year to celebrate!

The staff who operate the Lodge also operate the Townhouses. They are EXCELLENT and SO helpful. The staff in the main hotel has been getting weaker and weaker ever since OMNI took it over. I still love the main hotel but I do find myself repeatedly disappointed by the staff's unwillingness or inability to think outside the box. (and I am not talking extremes, just common sense) Also the girl in the coffee shop/sweet shop put a puss on when I paid her for the coffees with a credit card. It was bizarre. A hotel of this caliber should have complimentary coffee and tea anyway.
OMNI needs to take this place seriously and get into the mindset of classy bohemian elegance...because this is a hikers mecca but we still know how to dress and dine.

I was booked to stay at the Lodge and I was a little worried about the stay, due to the poor reviews. After driving up from RI, which took us no time at all, we pulled into the parking lot, that was empty and come to find out was under construction. We noticed a note on the door stating they were closed and the security that was there at the time confirmed the fact. So we drove over to Mt. Washington Hotel, found out we had our room moved to that location and all I can say was this must be my lucky day. So all my reviews from this point forward are based on Mt. Washington Hotel not the Lodge. The staff, at the front desk was so amazing and helpful. We booked dinner reservations at the Hotel, booked the zip line tour there, had our breakfast there. The food, the views, the rooms just perfect. I can say this I am so happy there was construction going on at the Lodge and we were move across the steet. I did find it odd that when I called to confirm my reservations they did not notify me of the closing, but I called on a Tuesday and it could have happend after. I will not complain at all due to the fact my family and I had just a wonderful time and I will stay there again. The Mt Washington Hotel. So my five stars go to Mt. Washington Hotel not the Lodge.
