The White Mts are seriously rugged. People doe in these mountains, every year, and in all seasons. Be prepared with the proper clothes, gear, and knowledge, and be prepared to turn back before you get too far into trouble. The views and the wildnerss are priceless. Don't pay the price.
Definitely make the drive through Sandwich Notch! Beautiful!
