"We absolutely loved this home and didn’t want to leave! The view of the water was serene and tranquil. We found ourselves gazing from the windows for hours and watching the wildlife. The bedrooms are perfectly placed with sunrooms attached to two of the rooms with thoughtful amenities provided throughout the home. The coffee and tea pods for the keurig was a nice touch. "It was very difficult for me to be in the situation with no Internet and much too far to drive into town every time I needed it. I also didn’t realize that he didn’t supply linens and towels so well though the location was gorgeous those were too big problems for me I really don’t know if I mentioned that on the online booking but I was taken by surprise. "Rustic charm like I have not seen before. Be prepared to stay in a real log cabin, plank floors, pitched log walls and all. Rustic as I mentioned yet still has the creature comforts we like to take for granted, plenty of hot water, full kitchen including a dishwasher, and internet connection. If we get back I will stay there again for the big front porch and serene setting on the hillside above the water."

The infamous Red Eats to get your fill of Lobstah, a nice treat at Round Top ice cream too cool off, and the sweetest shops in Boothbay...everything at your fingertips. The nicest close to a wonderful day is returning to Cottage 2; well-appointed, cozy, and that a-a-a-h feeling of going home.."

"What a great stay. Our first time in Maine, and New England and so glad we had this location. Booth bay is the “just right” costal town to stay in. 5 minutes from the harbor, so much to do locally, and the home was great. The property stole the show, though. The water, deck, dock, fire pit, grill, the trees! All so great. The house is large and well equipped, but could use some updating, better humidity control, and AC. Highly recommend."

"Had the good old field of what we always called a "camp." Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and glassware, etc. The lobster processing facility made for a bit of noise and a pretty steady stream of traffic. A lot of trucks, from pickups to semis coming in and out. Didn't really bother us a whole lot but it might bother other people. Overall the view of the water was pretty nice except for the power lines and there's not much that can be done about that. Have to have electricity after all."

"This is a great place especially if you have dogs. The only advice I would give the management company is to leave directions to the transfer station or better yet take the trash for your guests at the end of their stay. Putting smelly trash in our car wasn’t great. All in all though, it was a great place for a family with dogs!"

The only hiccups we had was that the check in code we were given was one digit off from what it actually was so we had a little trouble getting into the house. Also there is an outlet that was uncovered in the bedroom and we had a child touch it. "We absolutely LOVED our stay at 'Loon Cottage.' It was just the two of us, so we were glad to be able to rent a place that didn't have tons of extra bedrooms and space we didn't need. I cannot say enough about the location.
