"Property was an eclectic beautiful place. Our stay was awesome and romantic! The alleyway to the hotel was a bit alarming at first because it felt a bit off the beaten path. After 24hrs we became accustomed to the area and felt much better. Hotel staff obtained a taxi for us that met us exactly on time in the alley by the hotel. It was a perfect place to stay!"

"We could've used 2 keys to be able to leave or go back to the guest house separately. Other than that, we liked this guest house as it is located at the perfect spot for public transport, touristic and also shopping purposes. "El Born was perfectly located adjacent to the gothic quarter and across the street from train and bus stations. The metro and beach were also easily walkable. We would stay here again! Guillermo was super friendly and helpful. We felt welcome and that he would accommodate whatever needs we had. Water pressure was great and got plenty hot. The room was cool and the bed was comfortable. "

The service is probably one of the best in the city, with amazing people ready to help with anything you need. Unfortunately, this a hostel —not a hotel— and as such is missing vital add-ons like ACs. "Bit of an odd concept. No front desk. Just scan a qr code at a key box and receive your room keys. Quaint lift. Must have been nearly 100 years old. Generally good basic facilities but clean and secure. Just what was needed."

"This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Some of their staff are rude and unwelcoming, they charge like a hotel but don’t clean your room (was there 9 days). I knew there was a shared bathroom but during the second weekend they closed two bathrooms for private rooms and left only ONE shower and ONE toilet for 10 rooms. It is extremely bad, not even that close to gothic quarter to even make it worth. "

"Great hotel for family. Really good location with restaurants / mini supermarket, bus/ metro right there, etc. Staff at hotel was GREAT!! Now rooftop did seem to get booked up for private events on both our weekend nights there and staff seem to not like a "family" coming up to for meals so we took the que and went elsewhere. Sad as we would have liked to enjoy the views from there while dining (mainly the hostess). "
