“We stayed over memorial day weekend and had a great time. There were 4 of us and a dog, yet there was plenty of space to spare. The back porch backs directly up into the woods, and I kept trying to catch glimpse of sasquatch to no avail. The home had abundant towels and blankets, which was a nice thing to not worry about especially when swimming at the lake and having to shower multiple times. “Overall, this property is exactly as listed. It’s in a great location. The only issues we had were lack of toilet paper and paper towels and the cleanliness of the hot tub and back deck. There is a lack of water pressure in the shower. Nathan was very responsive when we contacted him. He is a new owner of this property, so hopefully this review will help him address easily corrected issues.”

“Pros: beautiful/private wooded area, very friendly locals, great winery within walking distance, lots of hiking trails to pick from, cabin has massive potential to be A stay Cons: front door has a hole in it, back door doesn’t lock, hot tub has broken jets and doesn’t really get hotter than bathtub, needs a a new cleaning crew. Coming into the cabin with beads, chips, dead bugs on floor was not ideal”

“This is quite the place, a log cabin right on the bank of the Ohio River. This property is off the “beaten path” and very remote. The rental is very rustic looking, yet has all the amenities we could ask for; WiFi, air conditioning, stove, dishwasher, and comfortable furniture. It is truly a gem. My only thought is that the WiFi didn’t connect well in the “far reaches” of the master bedroom. “Doug was awesome! The property had probably the best bed we have slept in. He was thoughtful and had some protectors for the couches knowing we had a couple dogs with us. It was nice and quiet out at his place though we didn't get to explore because of family obligations. My car decided to die on us and he was so kind offering help and not mad about the circumstance of essentially checking out a hour late due to having to run into town and back for a new battery. The seclusion, abundance of wildlife, amenities in the impeccably clean cabin and close proximity to Patoka Lake, French Lick, and Wilstem Safari make for the best memories. “We were extremely happy with this rental - the cabin was clean and the giant screened in front porch with three big nice rocking chairs was perfect and where we spent much of our time. The sheets and blankets were of higher quality than usually see at cabin rentals and this made everyone have really great nights of sleep! The location is gorgeous with beautiful hills and nature around. The owner was extremely communicative and responsive. We will definitely stay again if in the area, loved it!”
