Doug is a wonderful host who goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. His property is amazing, clean, and quiet. This was our third stay and we will definitely be back again and again.
A great out in the country cabin. Was only there to sleep but it would be a cool place to spend some time under the stars and have a fire. Beds are very comfortable! Would stay again .
Doug is the man the property is beautiful very quiet and relaxing. The pond was a blast alot of bluegill and bass. The facility was clean and very nice it looked like you stepped into Tennessee. Everything was provided for a good time fire wood, grill, picnic tables, food and drinking utensils, even food for the fish. I would recommend this place mostly because of Doug he is a very down to earth host very friendly and he left you do what you wanted. 10/10
We had such a great stay, and our two dogs absolutely loved being able to go off leash, and Doug was so accommodating and friendly. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous, and very well kept!
Will definitely stay again!
This place not only met expectations but exceeded them. The place was super clean and very homey. The host has very nice trail as well as a amazing fishing pond. Take full advantage of this location and too notch host
This was an amazing place to stay in between visiting Lincoln State Park and Holiday World. The location was very peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely return to this property; Doug was great to work with.
Place was as described and perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and host was great with communication. Between the two of us we caught over 30 fish in the pond. Very fun. Thank you for a great stay
We stayed at this cabin for a full week and had an amazing time. It was tucked away and on a beautiful piece of property. We drove to town (15-30 min depending on where we went) for some good restaurants and sightseeing. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Mr. Doug was a great host and we had everything we needed. We so enjoyed our stay here. After 2 busy days at Holiday World, it was beyond amazing to come back to a beautiful setting and amazing guest house with so much room, super nice furnishings, and grill and firepit outside. The nice walk to the beautiful lake in the woods early morning was a great way to wake up. Doug is an amazing nice guy to talk with and planning was so easy with him. He responds to any questions and has so much ready at the house already for a great stay. I cannot say enough good things about him and the guest house!
We wanted a quiet get away from home and the daily routines. This is the place as it was advertised. We enjoyed the inside as well as the outside. The inside had every thing we needed. The rustic furniture made it cozy. The outside has walking trails and one takes you to a nice little pond to fish in.We enjoyed our stay, it was just right for us. Thanks Doug for sharing it.
The place was decorated so cute loved the furniture. No wifi and was cold but there was tv. We watched METV. All the oldies but goodies. Thank you for sharing you peaceful home
Had a great time ! The gueat house was perfect for a getaway from the hustke and bustle of life. The only drawback was the gravel road , 2 miles, you had to drive on to get to a grocery store unless you go way out . The prooerty is beautiful. The only thing id do dodferent is have an air fryer. That gives you an oven to go along with the 2 plate hot plate. We loved it and would love to go back. We saw turkeys, deer, all kinds of birds. Our rat terrier loved it too !
Where do I start?! We were able to check ourselves in very late at night, which was very convenient for us. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Clean and minimalistic. There were an abundance of towels and washcloths in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was divine and the water stayed super hot for the duration of my showers without having to adjust the temp multiple times. The bed was extremely comfortable! I have had major spinal surgery, and most beds hurt my back, but this one was perfect! The only complaint we had was the lack of exterior lighting. Trying to find the cabin in the pitch darkness was a bit difficult. Communication with Doug was seamless and easy. He responded promptly and was super helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we visit the area in the future!

Doug was awesome! The property had probably the best bed we have slept in. He was thoughtful and had some protectors for the couches knowing we had a couple dogs with us. It was nice and quiet out at his place though we didn't get to explore because of family obligations. My car decided to die on us and he was so kind offering help and not mad about the circumstance of essentially checking out a hour late due to having to run into town and back for a new battery. We greatly appreciate his kindness and patience as I felt absolutely awful about my car. We strive to leave properties in the same condition we come into them and leave especially on time which I felt like we failed the second part! But as I said, Doug was very understanding and even offered help and tools from his shop. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
The property was clean and cool in the midst of a heat wave in Indiana. I was not prepared for the step in/out bathroom, step within the bathroom, and the step between the bedroom and the Livingroom/kitchen area. I ended up putting a kitchen chair near the step in/ out bedroom to Livingroom. The host had installed small running lights beneath each step but still difficult in the day as this transition is not typical. It would be helpful to describe the step transition as part of the overall description.
Doug’s place was wonderful! My friend and I were in town just for one night but we would definitely book again. The location was so quiet and the place was clean and well maintained! Thank you Doug for sharing your place with us! :)
This is a great place to stay. Very peaceful, has everything you need, and Doug is a great host. Don’t pass it by just because it’s off the beaten path. It is well worth it.See ya in July Doug
