Too Much Fun in Vegas

We were extremely happy with the Gold Coast Hotel. The casino was HUGE, and we all did pretty well, but mostly had a really good time. The staff was friendly and helpful. The eateries were great, buffet was wonderful!! The hotel is off the strip, about a mile, but there is plenty to do in this area, plus, they have shuttles going to the strip every 20 minutes. I will definetly go back, and recommend the hotel and casino.

Cheap but it did the job.

Needed to stay at a hotel that is very close to The Palms since the Palms was fully booked. Found this one and it was directly across the street. Not bad. But if I had a choice, it will not be my first choice. The rooms are clean but that decor is atrocious.

The Pearl Concert Theater is an awesome venue. If you get a chance to see a concert there, please go. The room was built for sound. I have not been to other concert venues where the sound is as good as the Pearl.

always works.

We always stay at gold coast, price is good, and location is good. They offer buses to take you almost anywhere on the strip, and a cab ride only runs about 5 dollars!

pleasant stay

Although off the strip, there were two other nice hotels nearby and an easy free shuttle to the strip. Rooms, hotel and casino were clean. Easy to find your way around. Nice dance club with good band. Large bowling alley and a small but nice pool.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Shuttle from Gold Coast goes to south end of strip. Shuttle from nearby hotel goes to middle of strip.

Not bad for the money

I stayed here in September 09 for 13 nights on a business trip and the room wasn’t bad. The total cost for the room for 2 weeks was less than a lot of places (Holiday Inn/etc.) for 4-5 nights. The room was clean and not a bad size. The bed was comfy. There is a LOT of water pressure in the shower. My only complaint is the high speed internet was way over-priced, which can really add to the cost of the room. I’ve stayed at many other places in Las Vegas, and this hotel puts you close to the action for a great price.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Before you get to Las Vegas, search for places with Free WiFi if you don’t want to pay $10-$15 a day at the hotels.

Just a place to sleep

We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest one available. It was just a place to sleep. We spent all of our time on the strip or at other hotels.

Great Weekend for a Wedding

Our Group of 13 stayed 3 nights at the Gold Coast and we were all treated very well. The buffet was one of the best and resonable. Housekeeping did us some favors in a very timley fashon. We will stay here again anytime.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Ok, but not great

We tried the Gold Coast because of a midweek special. The rooms are a bit small and old. If you want multiple rooms, keep in mind that there are no connecting rooms. I would recommend it for a short stay (one night). The food options are good. There is a chinese dim sum that is excellent and also a Fridays. I thought the pool was a bit small but the workout facility was pretty decent. The pool and workout area are right next to each other which is convenient. The Sportsbook and gaming area weren’t bad. I felt comfortable playing there.

There are excellent bowling specials offered at late hours.

Great place to stay

Just a few minutes off the strip - it is not a huge place like most of the places on the strip. It was more manageable walking from the entrance to our room. We were pleasantly surprised. The breakfast buffet is awesome - the food is fresh and plenty of variety.

Gold Coast is still a gem

I had the opportunity to stay in one of the renovated rooms. Liked is much better than the older rooms - the shower was fabulous! The room was clean and comfortable. Loved having the opportunity to make my own coffee. The only thing that would improve the room would be a mini fridge.

Wonderful Experience!

I have been to Las Vegas more times than I can count but I have not been more comfortable or better taken care of! My room was immaculate and the hotel staff was excellent from check-in through check-out! The restaurants were extremely clean and accommodating! I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Las Vegas-I plan to stay there again.

Best deal near the strip!

I have been a fan of staying at the Gold Coast for a while. Now that they have remodeled some of the rooms I’m a bigger fan! We stayed comfortably and cheap at the Gold Coast and walked across the street to the Rio and the Palms when we wanted to join the action. Pluses: Inexpensive! Clean, comfortable rooms (the premium rooms are worth the upgrade!) Close to the Rio and The Palms Cheap cab ride to the heart of the strip Cheap gaming, TGIF in house, half price appetizers 24/7. Decent pool and jacuzzi Cons: Older, mellow crowd (this may also be a plus) Not a "scene." This is definitely not the happening place to be in Vegas. You are not going to see lots of hot guys/girls at the pool :)

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Definitely go for the premium room. The older rooms feel like cheap hotel rooms. The upgraded rooms have plush top beds, dark wood trim throughout the room and most importantly the bathrooms are redone. A stand up shower with a glass partition instead of an old shower with a shower curtain :)
