Love this hotel!
Our room was very large, clean and had an amazing view of Karl Johan Gate. We had a wonderful time there. Breakfast was more than enough with lots of choices. I would love to go back.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Great location. We were able to walk all over town safely. Oslo is an easy town to find your way around.

No Upside to this Hotel
The shower in our first room leaked making the bathroom a slippery puddle all morning. The toilet was right up against the wall (broad shouldered people beware). The coffee machine in the lobby was out of service. On our last night we were locked out of our room for a faulty electronic door lock. Four trips up and down ensued where the desk attendant reset our key card and we tried to access the room. We were asked if we wanted to stay in the room, as prisoners since we could not leave and reenter, but declined and were put up in another. Not big on complaining we therefore did not get any compensation for the inconvenience. A complementary one night internet pass would have been nice (the pass is very expensive). The noise from the street was intense including that from a night club/bar below us. On our last night we heard glass breaking for half an hour around 2 am. I suggested to my boy friend that we investigate, have a few beers, and get back to bed for our early start the following day. We discovered that next to the night club/bar was a glass recycling center. As these issues were transpiring I felt that it was a small price to pay for the location. I was wrong. Oslo is not that big a city and can be crossed on foot in no time. We pretty much walked everywhere including Frogneparken to the west and Grunerlokka (very cool part of the city) to the north several times over during our stay. If you are unwilling or unable to walk Oslo has terrific public transportation.

Excellent location, but noisy..
No aircondition, so be prepered to sleep with windows open in the summertime.
