Wonderful Experience

A wonderful experience with clean and spacious rooms and a wonderful staff. The location is perfect for campus area access near Lake Washington area. The excercise facility is wonderful with several choices of quality equipment and a great view of campus life. There is a hiking/biking/walking trail next to the hotel that will take you miles through beautiful parts of the city. There is also a free shuttle service to anywhere within 3 miles of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location for Husky Stadium/UW/Shopping

We have stayed here many times for the location and comfort of beds. The beds are very comforatable, rooms are large enough for four people, very clean and comfortable. Lobby is a bit war-torn and continental breakfast could benefit from more protein choices. Staff is friendly and efficient. Shuttle bus to the Ave and other nearby locations a big plus.

Hotel shuttle can pick you up at UW Hospital, the Ave., Children’s Hospital.

Great Location!

Chose this hotel because of it’s close proximity to the University of Washington where I was attending a 3 day conference. The location can’t be beat!

silver cloud inns are reliably good quality. i’ve stayed in 3 different silver clouds, and all are well managed, clean, comfortable, quiet, with friendly staff.

Very close to UW, shops and restaraunts. Traffic is regularly heavy due to draw bridge lifts.

Nice place to stay

The Silver Cloud is in a nice shopping area and has easy access to downtown.

University District Closeness

Great hotel. Excellent service, great breakfast, close to shopping center with good and varied eating places plus a great food market. Very close to U of W campus and stadium. Easy to get to from I-5.

Great Hotel Close to UW

I was in Seattle for a conference at UW. This hotel was close enough to walk to campus, clean, and the free breakfast was really great. They have a homemade waffle machine to make your own belgium waffles! The only downside was that housekeeping only makes the bed. They didn’t put away the ironing board or straighten up the room.

One of few in University district

We stay at the Silver Cloud because it is one of the few accepatable hotels in the University district. Rooms are okay, breakfast is quite good and swimming pool is fun for our kids. Rooms are a bit pricey for the quality.

Not Bad

The beds are sort of uncomfortable and it isn’t the newest hotel in the world, but the people are friendly and its in a great location so I still like staying there.

We stayed so we could be close to Children’s Hospital for an early morning appointment for our daughter. The staff was friendly and helpful, setting up a baby bed in our room for us while we went out for dinner. Highly recommend this hotel, the price is on the high end, but if you get the expedia special rate of around $100 it is a good deal.

Traveler's tip on shopping

This hotel is a short walk from the U Village shopping center, excellent restaurants and very close to Chilren’s Hospital. Azteca is a great Mexican restaurant right across the street from the hotel. You can’t go wrong with their food.

The Hotel is close by to restaurants and shopping mall. The service was good, the breakfast is very convenient and with lots of choices. I would stay there again!

Just too close to UW and the shuttle helps

The hotel seems clean,rooms neatly made,well mannered staff, no help with luggage though. The shuttle service is literally at your beck n call. Free supply of tea n coffee 24 hrs and free use of washing machine is a great comfort. Breakfast was decent. All in all a good place.

pretty good!

Of all the mid-level hotels I’ve stayed at, this one was pretty good. Clean, quiet (probably not as quiet during school year) and convenient for anyone needing a reliable place to stay in the U district. Shuttle service to and from the University and near-by restaurant was great. Lots of college kids working the hotel but that goes with the territory. A nicely run joint. Recommmended.

There’s a great little spanish restaurant nearby called Gaudî. The hotel shuttle took us there. A great place for a family to celebrate their college students success:-)Or a romantic evening for two.

Hotel is nice but service is bad

The hotel itself was fine, especially for the price, but the service at the hotel was terrible. They would not provide a room even a second earlier than the 3pm check-in, leaving me and later my parents, stranded in the lobby for over 4 hours. When I asked for towels, they never came and ultimately we had to go to the desk and get them ourselves. I had a wake-up call that I tried to cancel, but the woman said she couldn’t and then hung up on me at the desk. All and all, just very rude staff.

Comfortable, clean and conveniently located

A great hotel experience. Hotel was ideally located for a weekend where we were running back and forth between the Arboreum and the Burke Museum for a family wedding. The large shopping mall within easy walking distance was a real plus. Free continental breakfast each morning had a broad selection of items, and great coffee. I would definitely stay there again.

About the only problem we had was that they apparently have a standing policy that you can’t get into your room until 3 p.m. But we twisted their arm ever so gently and they did manage to finally let us register and get a room around 1 p.m.

Great Place to stay in Seattle

This hotel was great and had very nice rooms. It was quiet you couldn’t hear people in the other rooms the furniture and TV were all very nice. Our room had a small fridge and microwave which was awesome. The only negatives are that they are doing some remodeling on the first floor but it didn’t bother me at all but it is nice to know ahead of time. Everyone was helpful and friendly and all request were acted on promptly. Plus the breakfast was great. You could make your own waffles as well as having the usual cereal hot and cold and the coffee was very good. Also being so close the University Village made shopping easy as well as being only a few blocks from a grocery store is a great location. Over all I will be going back there and really enjoyed this hotel.

Nice place

Pros: Nice location, it has free parking in an area where parking is a total pain, it is within walking distance of a lot of shopping and good restaurants, right on the Burke Gilman. Cons: kind of spendy, but still a good value considering all of the other factors.

Very nice stay

Hotel is a bit pricey, but the room and convenience are top notch. Proximity to University Village and Delfino’s pizza is a big plus. A great place to stay if you have business at the University of Washington.

Enjoyed our short stay near the U Dub

I stayed here with my wife for just one night while visiting UW. We were able to get a fairly decent Expedia rate for a two queen bed room, which was very spacious and included a separate sitting area with couch, double sinks in the bathroom, a fridge, and packets of good quality coffee (this is Seattle). The wireless worked fine. My wife used the pool and workout room and said they were nice. There was plenty of free parking which was nice, since we didn’t need to use the car--there is free shuttle service to campus and the medical center, and University Village is only a couple blocks away. They also allowed late checkout without a problem, which was very nice.
