While we didn’t get to try all the amenities due to the NY eve rush, the complimentary boat ride on the lake Vemnad was amazing (I would highly recommend to book in advance as it fills our fast). "What a wonderful place, very beautiful and relaxing. Accommodation absolutely top notch, staff even better. Having stayed in several highly rated 5 star hotels during our month long tour of India we felt this to be the best. If you're looking for the backwater experience in true comfort and style then this gives you that. We hired a day boat which picked us up from the bottom of the garden. We spent the evenings watching the boats go by and the chinese fishing nets being used. Realy all one...

"Beautiful location and lovely staff. The room was huge but basic and run down. Great view of the lake. Only one restaurant to eat at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was ok, breakfast not fantastic but the dosa was great. The pool is nothing like the photos. It is cloudy, dirty, full of insects and had a large number of crows bathing in it at any given time. No facilities open near pool - currently being renovated and no umbrellas. Temperature was hot and not refreshing in the heat of April. House keeping didn’t come once during our 3 night stay. We had to ring for towels and water every day. The resort is also dry, so no beer or wine served. The beds were very comfortable and there is a great resort next door in walking distance that has multiple restaurants to choose from and a bar on the water. My sons liked the fish and goose feeding at “high tea” each day from 4:30-5:430, but more like 4:50pm"
