Great view & character, but sorely needing repair
Set on cliffs on the Acapulco peninsula with great ocean views. An authentic part of Hollywood history - but it's living too much on that history and is sorely in need of repair. Tired decor, cracked bathroom fittings with persistent bad smell and seldom hot water, flimsy room doors don't feel secure.
Pros: Location; good room rate, nice staff & dining area, free parking; corporate events weren't intrusive.
Cons: Needs much repair without losing the period charm
Location: 30 mins walk down hill to Caleta beach, scene here is old-time with local families & cheap eats. The glitzy side of Acapulco lies some miles east.
