Wake up to beautiful views and the sound of birdsong in a tranquil farm setting - attached to a historic country home (1848), with traditional features and near the Amy Gillett Bike track and local wineries -e.g. Bird in Hand, Barristers Block, & Andersons Hill wineries, to name a few.
We are responsible hosts providing high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety whilst offering warm touches to show care towards all guests, making your experience unique and memorable.
The space
The entrance to our BnB unit is via a pathway and courtyard to a peaceful private bedroom, comfortable bathroom with shower and bath tub, and a compact lounge and kitchenette with an efficient slow combustion fireplace.
The unit is attached to our house but completely separate with its own entrance and acoustic tiles between the doors to reduce any sound, you may occasionally hear us next door but hardly at all.
In summer there is a ceiling fan in the bedroom, a portable air condtionning unit and a flyscreen door which when left open brings in a cool breeze in the evening.
The bedroom has a cupboard with a long mirror and small chest of drawers for extra storage.
Extra facilities are the Smart TV, with Netflix, and the kitchenette which provides a bar- fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, sandwich press and barbecue outside in the courtyard. We have not provided full cooking facilities.
The outside table and chairs provide a perfect spot for an evening barbecue, sitting out listening to the cows, the prolific bird life and occasional sighting of kangaroos or foxes roaming in the twilight hours.
Guests have access to the pool which is a shared space in summer, as well as part of the garden below the cottage to enjoy the amazing tranquility of the area.
Well behaved house trained pets are welcome, but not to be left alone during the day as there is no doggy door available.
There are beautiful walks in the area - as well as the Amy Gillett Cycle track which many people enjoy - cycling between Charleston, Woodside, Mount Torrens or back towards Oakbank. Our local pub is renowed - for good food in a cosy setting, with a large outdoor area, whilst our guidebook shows the highlights and other activities in the area.
We provide breakfast provisions - cereals, bread, milk, spreads and fruit as well as coffee pods, and a variety of teas.
We welcome you to our Air BnB , and offer complete privacy and tranquility in a beautiful farm setting.2
