All staff were accommodating, helpful and made us feel at home. Hotel basic, but suitable for price. No towels in ladies toilet and mens toilet the door did not lock. It is a very popular bar, well used by locals who enjoy music and singing, open till 2am on fridays and saturdays, so best if you have ear plugs, or can sleep through this easily. We were in rooms 1 and 2, probably quieter in other rooms. Food good, especially the apple pie. Good budget place to stay and with staff help re busses and trams, easy to get to city centre in 15 to 20 mins.

Fun little spot. Rooms are spare but clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly. The bar is the lobby. Not good for families. Food was really good.

Staff was very welcoming, onsite pub was very local and delicious. Beautiful park near by to walk around in. Tram #5 was about a 25-30 minutes walk.

We did not anticipate the super narrow stairwell and the climb to the 2nd floor being 3 flights up. This was a learning curve for us on stays in Europe. Do not have an enormous suitcase. The WiFi didn't work. The remotes for the TV didn't work. There was no breakfast at 6:30am. We didn't mind the shared bathroom and shower. We were the first in and had plenty of hot water. We bugged out early and got food at the airport. The area is lovely and we would have liked to walkabout in the parks but we were hungry. This would be great for a young traveler with little luggage. Not so much for the old folks.

Black Hole of Calcutta
To say this is a rat hole would be a tremendous compliment. This place has no business calling itself a hotel. Amsterdam was swamped last night but to pay $88 for myself in a shared bathroom/shower down the hall was beyond belief. Since I have been booking through Hotels.com all of these many years, this too shall cease. If they can’t check out this crap hole places before listing them on their site, I don’t want to experience this again. There was no soap provided and the towels were face towel sized. Needless to say I didn’t even attempt to shower this morning as I wouldn’t be able to adequately dry off even if I found soap. I asked last night for a hair dryer in case I showered and the photo below depicts what they provided. They must have had a great laugh at my expense because there was no socket in the room that would accommodate the plug provided. In short, stay away. I repeat, stay away. I lived in the Netherlands for 4 years and have never been in such a hovel. I’m trying not to use obscenity so this review gets published.

Absolutely horrible. I don't know where to start but is by far the most rubbish Hotel we stayed in. When we arrived we got a room which was hot, small and smelly and without a fan/ac. We complained and got a slightly better room but when we returned from our visit to A'dam they removed our stuff to an even smaller prison cell with dirty pillows and no pillow covers. These guys have to pay you to stay in this dump..Stay away!!!

It is good value for money. The staff were nice and helpful. The surrounding area was nice and quiet. It is not close to the city centre but there is a lot of buses to city centre. It is 20 mins walk to Amstelveen bus stop and then 15 min bus ride to the Airport (bus number 300). Although it is above bar but no noise.

Amazing beds and location
Could use a little bit of cleaning like the walls and sofa, but otherwise it’s in a beautiful location and close to bus stops. The beds are very very very comfortable

There were no smoking signs but people definitely smoked and it got into our room. Also the water to shower was ice cold, it never warmed up even a little.

Had a good stay. During the weekend the downstaira restaurant will have music untill 2am, so it gets a bit loud if you want to get rest. The shared bathrooms are not so clean but managable. The location is also not great if you have to visit Amsterdam central everyday. The public transport in Amsterdam is costlier compared to other EU regions so if you have car, this place is nice. I love the neighborhood. It is close to airport. So do have your own research before booking this place, if you have to stay close to airport you can go for it. If not it will be bit difficult going to center.

Had an "emergency stay" having missed a flight. Staff were accomodating and extremely friendly. Price was excellent (although no private bath). Room was clean and just what I needed for a short overnight. Kitchen was open until 10 pm, food was superb.

Nicest people downstairs for chech-ik and out. The lady even seeve me coffee to go after checkout. The parking is free all around the building, which is great. The hotel has a very nice and big bar with outdoor seating that stays open past midnight with music to have a good time. I was drive to ride my bike from there all the way downtown no problem. Across the street there's a Lidl for groceries, which convenient to pack some lunch to go

This is a Hostel stay. You have your own room however bath and toilet are outside. There is a bar down below and Fri and Sat it's loud. It didn't bother me at all. The staff down stairs was AWESOME! Her attitude and suggestions were great!

Sorry to say but the accommodation was very disappointing. Upon arrival we were informed that the bathroom and toilets were located outside the room. Consequently we upgraded to a room with en suite facilities at an extra cost of €20 per night. The sheets were not wide enough for the beds. As you moved the sheets moved as well so eventually the sheets were not covering the mattresses. The mattresses were obviously well used and had bobbles all over them. No hairdryer was in the room and when one was requested we were told that the hotel had 3 and none of them were available. There were eggs available for breakfast on the first morning but none on the second. On the plus side the staff were extremely helpful and very courteous. We ate in the bar each evening and the food was really good. The atmosphere was very good and friendly in the bar. I certainly would not recommend anybody should stay there but would recommend they use the bar and restaurant.

The property is a nightclub and had loud music going till 03:00 am. Trying to sleep in a room right above the bar wasn't possible till they shut.
