"Relaxing, well located, and beautiful views"
We loved The Ocean Inn, it is perfectly located a 10 minute walk from all the restaurants and from Nelson's Dockyard. The view of the harbour is really beautiful and the villas are just what you need for a relaxing, chilled out holiday. The beach is over a hill which is more like a 20 minute walk, but once you get used to it, it's a pleasant walk and jumping in the sea is a reward for the uphill climb. Robert was super friendly and happy to just leave you be, whilst still checking you had everything you needed. We went in low season, so English Harbour was pretty quiet with a few restaurants closed but we came to unwind so were happy with less tourists and the relaxed atmosphere. We didn't have a car, so did find getting around a little tricky, but the local buses are pretty reliable and the taxi's not too expensive so we managed to still see quite a bit of the island - it is do-able without a car.

"Perfection! "
We rented two separate cottages for a family holiday. Our first impression was genuine hospitality and kindness from Gabriela and Douglas, who can't do enough to make your stay a happy one. The chirping tree frogs, cheeky finches, emerald peanut eating lizard , humming birds and diving Pelicans who befriend the cottage make this a unique location with beautiful beaches a short walk away. Deep bay is gorgeous. A car is a must to explore the island fully and the supermarket is the other side of St.Johns so unless you can survive on Gabriela's initial guided excursion to the well stocked Epicurean store you will go hungry as there are no nearby restaurants. The interior of the cottages is comfy, well appointed, spotlessly clean but the bed...... Wow.. A 5* hotel could not be better, massive and sumptuous . We went to play with the stingrays which we highly recommend . Also a trip to Barbuda on the ferry which is an experience, the frigate birds and beaches are well worth the trip. We are sailors so obviously visited English and Falmouth harbours. During our two week stay we visited nearly everywhere but we loved coming home to the tranquility of our cottage. A rare find, for us much better than an impersonal all inclusive resort.

Had a fabulous trip travelling alone. Very safe hotel close to lovely beach accessible by short walk or free shuttle bus. Food is fresh and flavoursome in the restaurant with gorgeous sunset views in the evening. Happy hour drinks are great and staff are helpful and friendly even when things get busy. A great small hotel without crowds.

"Well kept and run, ideal location on beach"
Professionally run, excellent and responsive staff. Very nice grounds and pool well maintained, constant and visible security staff. The office provided lots of information on request, booked taxis, exchanged currency at good rates, the kitchenette was well equipped. One week Christmas stay was enjoyable and relaxed. The site is right on the beach, close to St. John's for easy day trips, the islands largest supermarket is a 10 minute drive, easy access to all tours, catamaran trips, etc. Definitely would recommend Antigua Village if you want a nice family friendly place with a kitchen. Adjacent beachfront restaurants are very expensive (and not owned by the hotel, or for that matter by local Antiguans), but with the kitchen, who cares? This is true of all tourist restaurants on the island, but there are local alternatives if you ask and want to explore the real culture, like boiled provision and salt fish for breakfast!

"Beautiful, Cozy nook on the beach "
The resort is located on the beautiful beach's of Antigua about 15-20 minutes from the airport. The water is crystal clear and there is two separate beaches to lay out on. Dividing the two beaches is a small stretch of beach that extends out into the water where we were able to get most of our sun. Heading back from the beach is the wonderful Sottovento restaurant. The food here was delicuous to say the least. The shrimp and veggies starter was amazing as were any of the pastas. I'd recommend this slice of paradise for anyone looking to enjoy a nice, relaxing vacation with wonderful service and spirits throughout.
