Great location, great vibe

Pros: Staff, location and casual feeling
Cons: Sprucing up but they are doing that now
The Radisson was bought by Hilton. We were not informed of this before leaving the U.S. so were quite surprised when we arrived. Fortunately, Hilton kept on the same staff...we recognized many of our favorite waiters and bartenders. They are going through a transitions so there was some painting and whatnot going on. Other than that, the property is still our favorite. It is close to the shops and restaurants of Palm Beach. It is much more relaxed than the Marriott and it is close to the pier which is amazing.

Working in Aruba

I'm an international cinematographer and was hired to film a Wedding in Aruba. It's MY island. I go every year. I've been going for over 40 years. Even though the wedding was not at the Hiltion (which has always been the Radisson to me) I chose to stay there as I usually do every year. I love everything about this hotel. The facilities. The staff. Check in. The pool. The spa. I will say that the hotel is starting to feel very tired and is in need of a MAJOR renovation. Things are old, not working, breaking down. I hope they will now renovate seeing that it's now a Hilton. I'm sure they will. I will gladly be back.

My boyfriend recommended this hotel because he's stayed there before about 8 years ago & loved it, but when we came this year, he said it looked exactly the same. He was sold on the location of the hotel which is perfect. You have the pier right there with Dunkin Donuts & you can walk to all of the action. This hotel just got taken over by Hilton & hopefully they'll be doing some renovating considering the condition of this hotel. All the other hotels like the Hyatt or Marriot are updated. I would definitely stay there again because of where it is on the beach.

Nice room, awful shaded lounger situation

Pros: The room. Once we were moved from a room with a door to an adjoining room. Where we heard every word of the conversation conducted in an indoor voice
Cons: Stop the insane reservation of loungers.
Location: If you enjoy vacationing with extended family, where guests are pretty much all Americans from New York/ New Jersey area, go with God.
You have to reserve your beach loungers the day before. The line starts to form an hour before, at 3pm. They start taking reservations at 4 o'clock. I checked with people in neighboring hotels and they could just show up and take whatever beach lounger was free, like civilized people. Too, the loungers by the pools had to be paid for. PAID FOR. If any were not reserved you were free to take them at 2pm. There were never any free in the shade though. Although their 'owners' were rarely using them, just their towels proclaiming they were taken. The staff were very solicitous. The room very comfortable. But ultimately we were there for a beach vacation. It was not very restful except when we went back to the room. Beach loungers were crammed into the Hilton's beach area, within easy hearing of conversations, smelling of cigarettes, and 'enjoyment' of others' music. Might have had a more laid back vacation at the Jersey Shore. This is not a great set-up unless you are going to be inebriated and loudly socializing with a group of your family/friends. These large groups seemed to be enjoying themselves, unlike the rest of us forced to suffer them. There was nowhere to move. If you're not part of a large loud group I wouldn't recommend it.

I liked the hotel overall, staff was very friendly rooms were called up to my standards. I love the fact that all of the restaurant's and shopping stores are walking distance from the hotel no need to take a taxi everyday. The beach was beautiful and very clean I would recommend this hotel. I only wish that they have at lease a free continental breakfast paying $22 for just breakfast morning is a little steep. Also the beds are a little on the hard side not very comfortable!!#

Always I use to go every years to the old Radisson. Was very good . This time Hilton bought it and it's very abandoned. It need remodeling works urgently. Pool bar, beach chairs, rooms furnitures!!!

Resort was ok. Nothing really special. We had better experience at other resorts. Bar closed too early, not enough beach chair and umbrellas. Not enough waiters on the beach.

Radisson vs. Hilton

Pros: Rooms were clean and always done while you were away. We like the way the hotel is set up
Cons: Noticeable difference in management style shows through the way you are greeted and feel welcome.
Location: We like the grounds and the set up at the beach. The close walking proximity to restaurants outside the hotel.
Hotel was virtually the same except there had been some noticeable changes from our last stay as the Radisson and this time under the Hilton name. It started with the check in and the noticeable attitude difference from the last time. not as upbeat or friendly. They stopped leaving bottles of water in the room as before under the Radisson. When we inquired, they said we don't do that anymore. Asked a different hotel staff and we got bottled water left in our room. Just a few little things were different, mainly a different attitude towards the customer as I stated above. Restaurant and ground staff seemed to be as friendly as before.
