“No deadbolt and the door latch mechanism was missing from the jamb. Had to rely on the latch in the door to catch in the open hole in the jamb. There was a security swing latch that barely closed. There was food and candy wrappers on the floor in the corner next to the bed. Walked across the floor barefoot and had to clean my feet before putting socks on. Shower head coming out of the wall and spout pulled away from the wall.”

“Hotel lobby was very clean but our room was filled with stink bugs (counted at least 10 visible) and TV did not work. We called the front desk (which they seem to not believe us) and came to room to validate our concerns. We were told they have a stink bugs problem that they couldn’t control and verified….. yes the TV was broken ( turned on with sound but no picture). Staff ended up changing our room with NO Bugs and a working TV.”

“This hotel is extremely outdated, and ran down. I guess it wouldn’t be terrible if you’re just passing through and need something better than a car to sleep in, however bed wasn’t much more comfortable. Room was dirty and unwelcoming. We got bit by what I’m assuming was mosquitoes. (Did check for bed bugs and no signs of them) stains on blankets, pillows and pillow cases. Stains and chipped paint on walls. Bathroom, I went and bought Lysol wipes before using the toilet or showering. The shower……

“Old, dated, dirty (probably original) carpet. Paint peeling badly. Limited outlets. You could either plug in the lamp or the TV. When we arrived both the TV and microwave were unplugged. Three light bulbs were burnt out and there was a hole in the desk chair. If you swung the bathroom door shut and let go, it stopped. Tried two luggage carts and both had one flat tire. “Breakfast” was either a waffle (only one waffle maker) or cereal. Coffee was limited and had to remind staff to refill it.……

“The hotel was great. My room was very nice. The bed was more comfortable than some very expensive hotels that I have stayed at. The staff members were all great. There are many dining options nearby. There is plenty of free parking. This hotel is very convenient with regard to access to the highway. I would highly recommend this hotel when comparing to the other hotels in the area and in Beckley, WV. This hotel is very nice and affordable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.”

“We were greeted with a very kind gentleman who had a great sense of humor and was kind when checking in. The room had a terrible smell and bathroom had mold all around the tub. The reviews said great breakfast and unfortunately that was not our experience. The eggs, sausage, and biscuits were in crockpots lined with plastic. Coffee wasn't good and all they offered was little individual creamers. Will not be returning to that hotel when we travel.”
