“Beautiful property. My only complaint is the stairs and parking lots need better lighting; especially at Chestnut Lodge. There were no lights in the parking area and limited on the stairs. Also at the main lodge stairs - I tripped down the front steps of the main lodge while checking out because it was still dark outside. If I hadn’t of caught the railing, I would’ve fallen to the ground.”

“Apart from its own bar, it is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and it takes a long time to find a restaurant nearby.”

“Poor breakfast. Choices were instant oatmeal and cold cereal. Breakfast items were never restocked the 3 days we were there.”

“The property was recently sold and is undergoing renovations. I wish we knew that renovations were happening. The property holds promise to return to 5 star. There is clearly lots of work being done to the property. The bed was comfortable, there was someone to contact for any issues. I did contact the person listed and they were prompt in their response. The staff for the home cooked breakfast was polite, engaging and clearly loved working at Rockwood. The one true negative were……
