I was pleasantly surprised by our stay at Lord Baltimore. It is an old hotel which I appreciated and it seems to be maintained well. The dark color scheme worked well in my opinion. It also felt safe for being downtown and I thought the staff was nice enough for Baltimore standards (don't expect southern hospitality or midwestern type friendliness here). Our room was clean, water pressure was amazing, and the mattress & pillows comfortable. Only 2 small negatives for our room and that was in the bathroom. The toilet seat was very low lol and the pedestal sink, while nice and wide, had a sloping rim making it annoying for placing toiletries on it. No other shelf space in the bathroom. I do want to note that the mortar around the shower tiles is a navy blue which looks in the photos like they are dirty but they are not. In regards to parking, the hotel only offers valet parking for about $40 per day (with in & out privileges), however there is self parking available at the CFG Arena parking on Fayette St at the end of the block that provides in & out self parking at $32 per day. So if you don't mind a short walk, you'll save a little bit plus tips. We will definitely consider Lord Baltimore again the next time we visit Baltimore.
