Adorable
Everything was just as promised. Plenty of room and everything was super clean. The best view of the hens, goose, birds and we even got to see a hummingbird out of the kitchen window! Lovely.

It was a cute suite. I was under the impression it was a two bedroom and it was only one bedroom. It did work out ok because there was a futon to sleep on. It was close to Acadia National Park and not very far from Bar Harbor. There is a lot of traffic going by day and night. You need to really watch the traffic coming from the right as you face the house. It’s kind of a blind spot

Charming Get-away
We had a wonderful time at the Hummingbird Suite. Everything we needed was supplied. Really enjoyed the Hummingbird theme throughout the suite. Being located near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor was a definite plus.

Great Accommodations
This is the perfect place for a couple to stay if they are visiting Bar Harbor or Acadia as both are minutes away. Everything is clean and functional in the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped. It is close to the highway so there is a good deal of traffic and traffic noise but easy to ignore since everything else was perfect. The Kane’s are nice people and live on site.

Hummingbird suite
The property is amazing with chickens, ducks, geese, and hummingbirds. The suite is perfect for a short term stay with a hopeful host and only 4 minutes to the visitor center where you can ride the free connector bus throughout Acadia and several off site areas.

Beautiful suite - Super close to Bar Harbor
The humming bird suite was a few miles away from Bar Harbor and had everything we needed. The property had a beautiful wildflower garden and got to see humming birds everyday. They also had chickens and geese in the property and some fresh eggs to buy. Kevin and Donna were wonderful to talk to. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Relaxing Maine week.
The suite had plenty of room for two. It was clean, comfortable and kitchen was well stock with all the necessary tools to cook and you could purchase fresh eggs from the host. Grounds of property were very nice and enjoyed watching the ducks and chickens. Great location to Bar Harbor.

Acadia late spring trip
Hummingbird suite was everything and more. Close to Acadia National Park and minutes from Bar Harbor. Loved watching the owner let his chickens , ducks, and geese out every morning. Spotless home and confit. Would love to visit again.

Cozy Place Near Acadia

Great place to stay for Bar Harbor visit!
Apartment was just as advertised - great value, outstanding location, very clean, owners responded quickly, well stocked kitchen, very nice bedroom and sitting area, good internet connection. Definitely highly recommended and would come back - a great base for a stay in Bar Harbor, minutes from downtown and from the Park!

A Perfect Fit
Hummingbird Suite fit us perfectly! The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, and the suite was very clean. It's also a great location for visiting Acadia and all of Mount Desert. Kevin's suggestion for a little side trip - bringing Yu's takeout in Hancock to the Tidal Falls Preserve - was a big hit. We enjoyed it twice while watching loons diving, seals playing and gulls pulling out crabs. And then, after all the biking, hiking, and even a trip up to Campobello, it was satisfying to hang out in our cozy apartment for reading and our favorite shows on the smart TV.

Hummingbird suite review.
We had a wonderful stay at the Himmingbird suite. Kevin and Donna were super friendly and easy to work with. The property is beautiful and very close to Acadia National park. We would stay at this property again if we come back.

Lovely Stay!
This was our first trip to the East Coast. We loved everything about our stay here. The room was immaculate and all of the special instructions were easy to find. The beds were super comfy and we slept like rocks! We did leave the windows open at night and there was a bit of road noise from people driving to Acadia to see the sunrise. That was really a non issue for us. I have to say the highlight of our stay was the adorable little farmstead in the back of the house. We loved visiting with the chickens, ducks and geese. We will definitely be coming back to Bar Harbor next summer and would totally stay here again. Proximity to town and good coffee was also a bonus!

Great location for access to Acadia and to Bar Harbor. We didn't play mini-golf but there is a really nice mini-golf and ice cream shop (we did get ice cream) just up the road.

Perfect in every way!
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Hummingbird Suite has everything you need to make a visit to Acadia and Bar Harbor memorable. The bed is super comfortable. The presence of washer and dryer allow you to pack light. The garden is lovely as are the hosts. We will definitely return!

a very nice place to stay
My husband and I enjoyed our time staying in Hummingbird Suite while visiting Acadia National park. The location is about 1 mile to visitor center. The suite is very clean, and comfortable. It feels like home. After climbing mountain in Acadia, we had a relaxing time watching Kevin's hens, ducks and geese in the backyard. We had a great time and we hope to return soon.

Cute, convenient place to stay near Bar Harbor & Acadia!
Perfect distance to the area--1 mi from an Acadia entrance and 4 MI from downtown Bar Harbor. The ONLY negative is its right on route 3 (as are many area properties) which is heavily trafficked and noisy. All night. We got used to it on our 5 night stay and the other aspects made it worth it. Loved having the space, inside and out.

Fantastic Honeymoon!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Hummingbird Suites! Kevin and Donna were lovely hosts - their Vrbo having anything that we needed from a full kitchen and some basic utensils, to a washer and dryer, to a bathroom well stocked with plenty of towls. The place was very clean! We loved how close it is to Acadia and Bar Harbor, making them very easy places to access on our bikes. 10/10 reccomend vacationing at the Humming Bird Suites!

Great location!
We had a great week in the Hummingbird Suite!! Super clean and well equipped. The location is wonderful. It is not noisy, but if you are a light sleeper some of the car noise may bother you. Location makes up for it though.

This was an ideal place to stay for visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia Nat'l Park. The accommodations were perfect for us, clean, well stocked, included washer and dryer, functional kitchen, good bed, and most entertaining ducks and geese, as well as fresh eggs from the chickens. Beautiful landscaping with gardens and flowers attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. Owners very kind.

A nice little getaway
We had a very nice stay in Bar Harbor. Kevin and Donna were excellent hosts. The room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The suite is located in a great location for parking at the Acadia visitor's center and also just a short drive to the downtown area. The suite is located on a busy road, but their backyard oasis makes it easy to forget that. I would gladly stay in the suite again.

Kevin and Donna were very friendly and welcoming hosts. We loved the location of the house, so close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The suite was beautifully decorated and had very well stocked kitchen. We had a great time at Kevin and Donna’s place. Check in was easy and smooth. The instructions for during the stay and for checking out were all clear and simple. The place itself was spacious, very clean, and organized. We enjoyed that they have their own chickens and geese in the backyard, and have very fresh delicious eggs for sale at the property. Also there is an amazing comfortable recliner chair that I passed out on every night. We would definitely come back again next time we’re visiting Acadia.

Wonderful, warm and welcoming for a much needed get away.
My wife and I were looking for a quiet and peaceful place for a get away near the coast and Acadia National Park. After many months of pandemia, a change of air was well needed. The Hummingbird was perfect. We found it to be a cozy, well equipped and comfortable unit. Even real hummingbirds graced us by showing up on the feeder. For us it was just the right distance to town. Although just minutes from Bar Harbor, it felt removed enough to offer some peace and quiet that we were looking for. We hope to visit again some day. Marc & Laura

Will be my first choice when visiting Bar Harbor
Spotlessly clean, spacious, delightfully decorated, perfectly placed for Acadia Nat Park, filled with about everything you need for a brief or extended stay and finally owned and managed by two warm, friendly , helpful and efficient hosts. Extra point for the ducks, chickens and roosters in the back. I will ALWAYS try to book the Hummingbird Suite as a first choice on my next visit to Bar Harbor. My wife and I had an excellent stay!

Just like home
We had a great stay at the Hummingbird Suites. The place was immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly need- it felt like being in my own home! Kevin brought us fresh eggs from their chickens and we loved being able to cook meals in the well stocked-kitchen and watch the hummingbirds that visited their garden. Suite includes a big comfy bed, large tv in the bedroom, kitchen with every supply you could possibly need including Tupperware, ziplock bags, spices for cooking, a grill, board games, washing machine/dryer with detergent etc., they thought of everything. The location is close to the entrance to the park and downtown Bar Harbor. We will definitely be back!

A perfect cottage so close to Acadia in Bar Harbor
We enjoyed a wonderful couple of days at the Hummingbird Cottage just minutes from the park entrance. We look for 2 things when traveling, a great bed and a great shower. The cottage has that and more , location, cute, comfortable and immaculately clean space, Outside there are beautiful gardens and birds. Mid October is a great time to visit Maine. The leaves were in peak colour, no crowds and the stores and restaurants are still open. So many great places in Bar Harbor. Temperatures where very comfortable in the 50’s. We’d definitely stay again.

Gardeners Delight
The suite was lovely with beautiful wooden floors and all the comforts needed during our stay. Past reviews say it all. Abundant Lobelia cardinalis plants were blooming in the garden with hummers buzzing about. We enjoyed the location near Bar Harbor but away from the chaos. Ducks, geese and chickens were entertaining! We hope to return and will definitely plan ahead to reserve this special place.

The property was lovely. The kitchen had everything stocked including some condiments and even napkins. Being from the city, I was fascinated with the ducks, chickens and geese which were located on the back of their property. If desired, you could get fresh eggs for breakfast. Hummingbird suites was located 1 1/2 miles from Hulls Cove entrance into Acadia. It is an ideal location for accessing the park or the busy town of Bar Harbor. I have been to Maine numerous times and this was one of my very best stays.

Great stay in Bar Harbor
Loved staying at the Hummingbird suites! It was such a nice break for my husband and I. The place was very clean and well appointed - better than a hotel. 3 miles into Acadia with easy access to the park and downtown Bar Harbor. It was nice to be out of the downtown with a great (tidal) beach just a mile down the road. The bird feeders and garden around the property were amazing, we were able to see so many hummingbirds!
