Please do not stay here
We would advise travellers to seek alternative accommodation in Bar Harbor. The receptionist was surly and unaccommodating. The bed was prized between two walls with little room to get on and off. The mattress was old with a severe dip in the middle, very uncomfortable to sleep on. The breakfast offering was at best middling.

Loved it!
The room was spacious and beautiful! We loved the fireplace and the balcony. The only thing that we would have liked more is if there had been a smart TV.

Wonderful Hotel
We stayed here for 4 days. Our first impression was how great the hotel is and staff was very nice. Gianni was great, he gave us a tour of the hotel, walked us to our room. The room was wonderful, updated, spacious and bed was so comfortable. We had a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The kitchen was very nice, they put out a huge spread for breakfast like muffins, coffee, danish, cereal, tea. The dining was very nice and relaxing, where they had computer if needed. This hotel thought of everything. We will stay here again. The location was amazing, very close to everything in Downtown Bar Harbor. We highly recommend this hotel.

Good location to explore Bar Harbor. We were unaware of other rooms but our room was “grubby” with dirt marks on the outside of the fridge and the fridge seal was dirty. Whilst bed was comfortable it didn’t half creak so the bedstead either needs fixing or replacing. The AC unit was antique and needs replacing for one that is external to the room as the one in our room was the size of an aircraft carrier (slight exaggeration) and very noisy. In fact we could hear the unit from upstairs when ours was off! So the positives were Hannah on reception, the communal areas and the porch plus the breakfasts. Location is also very good as downtown BH is within 5 minutes walk.

This is a unique property converted from a house and nicely appointed and furnished. Great sea legends and tallship, nautical theme throughout with gold accents instead of traditional navy and white.

Pricey and lacks a friendly staff
The hotel itself was in a great location for walking around town, however, the staff was not super friendly. I’d also like to point out that I have noticed whenever I book thru hotels.com I receive the room in the noisiest location. In this case, we were across from the bar and underneath the stairs. Try to avoid room #18 if you want a good night’s sleep(forget about an afternoon nap with the bar open). Also the bathroom was extremely small. Disappointed especially since it was on the pricey side.

Walking distance to great food options. The air conditioner is our room had a issue. The humidity was extremely high. Our sheets and clothes were soaking wet from the humidity. We had to run the heat to dry everything out. Hotel was full. Others seemed happy. Soap dispenser in shower was empty. Carpet needed cleaning. We wanted to love it but we didn’t sleep due to how hot and humid our room was.

We had a very spacious room that was nicely decorated and we loved the king bed too. We were surprised though how thin the walls are (in the new buildings) and that you could hear everything happening in the other rooms.

We loved the hotel and everything about it. The location was perfect for our needs. Our only complaint was the bed:( It was not comfortable at all. We would definitely come back but I would request a different bed!

Very comfortable rooms/beds. Amazingly spacious. We had 2 rooms with double beds w/2 bathrooms perfectly appointed. Great for friends traveling together. Easy walk everywhere! Loved the bar downstairs: good, friendly with porch option. Breakfast buffet with bagels & danishes, coffee & OJ & mini fridge in our rooms. Perfect!

This property was absolutely beautiful and such a great location. Walking distance to town but on a quiet street. The staff was very friendly. We were greeted with champagne upon arrival and given a tour of the grounds. There’s a nice rum bar on premises. The bartender was super friendly and made it a very welcoming environment to have great conversation. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. After long days of exploring I enjoyed coming back to a comfortable clean room. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were super soft. The air conditioner kept the room at a constant comfortable temperature. There was plenty of parking and we didn’t have to deal with finding parking downtown because of it. I would definitely stay at Queen Anne’s Revenge again.

Excellent location, staff very pleasant and helpful, property itself could use some work. Windows would not stay open, very soft mattress, not bike friendly in a bike-friendly town. Housekeeping wasn’t thorough. Great baked goods for breakfast. Complimentary champagne at checkin a nice touch.

The property and our room were great! The staff was excellent. Hannah took great care of us from the minute we arrived. I highly recommend the QAR! The black spot bar next door is great too. Tommy is a hoot! Very relaxing and pampered stay. BTW, Hannah sings too! Enjoy her vocals and guitar playing down at the Ivy Manor Inn (a sister property to the QAR).

Telling everyone about this place!
This place was such a pleasant surprise. We picked the lowest cost place that still had charm for our last minute trip to Bar Harbor and we showed up we were blown away by it! We were given champagne when we checked in. The place was loaded with little details that tied it all into it's namesake. The bartender at the onsite rum bar was THE BEST. The only thing I can think to let you know about was that in room 2 you are right outside the breakfast area so it's a bit noisy in the morning but if you're an early riser that's no problem at all and worth it for the jacuzzi tub and fireplace! Thank you for a great stay!

Queen Anne's Revenge is a beautiful property. The location was close enough to town to enjoy all the amenities within walking distance but far enough away to avoid the crowds. The property is lovely and we enjoyed hanging out on the bar patio. Tommy the bartender was top-notch. The property has several buildings. We were in the building in the back of the property and it was not as nicely appointed as we had expected. The beds and pillows were hard and the bathrooms were dated and dingy. We had two rooms in the building. The one on the first floor was next to the laundry facility which seemed to be in use all night long. The sounds of the spin cycle and rattling of the walls would come and go at all hours. This did not make for a restful stay.

Everything was great and the staff was so helpful giving information and recommendations about the area. The inn was uniquely decorated and so much more fun than staying at a boring hotel. Loved the morning coffee and breakfast items available. It was easily walkable to anywhere we needed to go, including buses in the town center to Acadia. The only concern was that our room was an uncomfortable temp/ humidity level the entire weekend due to the rainy weather and could have really benefitted from a dehumidifier. It was hard to sleep with the cold clammy feeling from the AC but was too hot without it on. I would still recommend Queen Anne’s Revenge!

The Inn is lovely and on a quiet street, while still within walking distance of the center of town. Our room was spacious but a bit oddly furnished (a lovely tall side table that did not fit the space and covered part of a window, no dresser and only 3 hangers - so nowhere really to put your clothes). The breakfast is a very basic continental spread - we ended up going out to breakfast every morning. All in all, a good place to stay but run more like a hotel than an inn (lacks in the personal touches and attention you'd expect at an inn).

The hotel is charming and conveniently located to attractions. Staff was very nice. The bathroom was big and the room. The room was cool but so muggy that our clothes in the suitcase was getting wet. The room needs better air conditioner and dehumidifier.

Newly renovated property. Lovely king room with step down sitting area separated by dual panel french doors. There is a gas fireplace in the bedroom and a wood burning fireplace in the sitting room.

The only gripe is the quality of the mattress, which was quite poor. We didn't get a good night's sleep the entire stay.

We will happily assign you to a room with a different bed that would better suit your needs, as we have both firm and plush mattresses.
