“The front desk did not inform us about other amenities such as free breakfast or Wi-Fi until asked for. Upon arriving in our room, we were greeted by a roach. After complaining and switching rooms, there was no roach, but the fridge was stained with food stains and looked like it wasn’t cleaned for a while. The bedside USB charger was completely smashed and unusable. The bathroom/closet door doesn’t close all the way. ”

“Im a tough customer, there was absolutely nothing wrong with this place! Had an amazing room, no detail left unattended. Sheets like velvet, climate control and a view to remember. There was a wonderful breakfast in the mornings that they served late, so I got to sleep in every day! A beautiful old mansion, the Lookaway offers a deep dive into the southern experience, John the host was what I wish all hosts could be. This place should be filled to the brim every day! “If you want a quiet place on a scenic golf course this is a pretty good choice. The staff were excellent and a pleasure to talk with and ask questions. Room service is provided daily and they keep your room clean and plenty of towels and some toiletries. One thing that is not so good is not every room has been updated, some have older toilets that don’t flush well and some have older Airconditioning systems that are not the greatest. Ask for newer updated rooms. A pretty good continental……
