I’ve stayed at this location a few times. The air conditioning in the rooms is not the best. The temperature in Belém is pretty hot all year round and a cool room where you can rest is a must.

The breakfast was very limited. All of the cakes and bread were dried out and crumbly. Dining restaurant was completely empty, even no staff. Last day a very loud group was drinking in the restaurant and no one of the staff was saying anything. The hotel seemed understaffed.

The worse hotel I have stayed at - the general manager, she was the rudest person that has ever serviced me during any of my stays / I have traveled around the world for the past 10 years with Expedia, and I am an Expedia Gold Plus member, and let me tell you - I will NEVER stay at this hotel ever again! And never should you - I cannot say enough: STAY AWAY!

Excellent service! Specially Joao and the general manager, this is the only hotel you need to stay at when you visit Belem for business or pleasure for that matter! Joao Call Cheryl Location’s phone I needed a PCR test and I was able to find a laboratory and the general manager was kind enough to let him his iPhone charger when I lost mine … the service of this place is excellent and breakfast her are the best: especially the lovely and friendly breakfast ladies.

Excellent service, and Joelthom from reception was amazing! He helped get info. for PCR test I needed to travel abroad, and made my check-in seamless and fast! The hotel has a nice gym on the top floor, and the swimming pool was perfect!

Good location, everything looks brand new. 5 star for the beds super confi and fluffy for Brazilian style. The only down side, they don't have a bar in the hotel. The parking was a bit expensive for local standards but the service was fast.

It was a complete disaster, I want to claim a compensation, 3 rooms (changing every day) in 4 nights. Cold shower, WC not functioning, locked out of my room, complete lack of maintenence, incident with towel, air con malfunction, etc etc it was a nightmare

Good location,near shopping Boulervard. Taxi's availableinfront of the hotel. We reached the hotel around 12 am and the check was not very fast. The breakfast is OK, it is not extensive and impressive.

I liked this hotel very much. Great neighborhood, very comfortable, good service. Beautiful views from the roof-top pool and exercise room. I really liked how comfortable I found the bed and the bed linens. I'll stay here again next time I come to Belem.

The Mecur Hotel Belem is in reasonable walking distance to some sites and shopping, but in the summer heat, humidity and thunder showers a taxi is a better choice.

Another nice stay. The beds are really comfortable!! We had smaller rooms because we declined our free upgrade as we wanted connecting rooms. Still enough room and just as comfortable.

Underwhelming overall. Check in was a disaster. Wrong room at first. Not gross, but not super clean. Bed was quite firm, but pillows were nice.

Nice hotel. Much better than Grand Mercure (friendlier staff, cleaner rooms, better food). Highly recommend. They didn't visit our room to clean, but we will return again and again.

The beds comfortable, the staff quick to respond if needed, the only things I would suggest the hotel do for it's clients which is not expensive is out small coffee makers in all rooms, and put hot water kettles with non heating plates like most 4 and 5 star hotels worldwide offer for guests who want coffee or hot water for medication or tea...
Besides finding this lack after staying worldwide and becoming used to these two things. I would say the hotel is very accommodating. Overall a 4.7 out of 5.

Great hotel, was even better than my last time there. Customer service is friendly and efficient, hotel rooms are clean and modernized. The wifi can be a little bit better but not bad at all.
The hotel is near shopping boulevard and lider supermarket.

Very nice hotel
Nice hotel! The pool and the view are very beautiful. Comfortable rooms, with a great view too. The restaurant and the room service are very good. Only very important minus, the internet wifi is terrible!
Closeby is the Boulevard shopping mall and just across the street is a very good sushi restaurant.

loose faucetts, shower with a wall in the middle! loose WC seating, not a bathroom for that kind of hotel. The staff is slow and inefficient. Breakfast is nothing special. Queen size bed, not king.
I was very impressed with the Golden Tulip. The staff were helpful and trustworthy, the breakfast buffet excellent, the rooms nice and in good condition. Each floor was small which allowed for a very private feel to it. The hotel is energy conscious with motion activated lights and your room key only accesses the floor you are staying on plus conference, lobby, gym and rooftop pool levels. Wifi was generally good. I would certainly stay here again.
We went at room 1007 - me, my husband and my daughter. It was very comfort. The only thing I think could be better it was the breakfast - they shoul do some Tapiocas, omelets, panquecas... It will be very nice. I realy enjoyed my room, the pool and the view off the city from there.
Very good as always. Stayed here before which is why we came back. We booked a suite which was great and managed to do a late checkout (which we cost us 160 Reals), as our flight wasn't until the evening. Could do with more tables by the pool (only 2), as we had to wait until mid-afternoon for a couple to leave before we could sit and order lunch. Will definitely be back as tried a different hotel which was £10 less and terrible.
Excellent. Friendly staff, fast service, great breakfast. Clean, no unnecessary frills. Good AC. Well trained staff, world class service and structure. Too bad I am not planning to go back to Belem anytime soon or I would certainly stay there again.
