From its natural landscaping to the big city architectural design, you will find the scenery to be absolutely breathtaking. Each region of Brazil has something different and exciting to offer. In the north, you will find the tropical rain forests, home to many exotic birds, reptiles, and mammals. The south contains all the big cities and tourist attractions such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In contrast, the east is not as well known among travelers, but it offers a great opportunity for you to find an uncrowded beach along the Atlantic Ocean or to go sightseeing in the Lost World. Whatever part of Brazil meets your fancy, Expedia.com has the best deals on flights to Brazil.

The Right Time to Visit Brazil

Holidays are big in Brazil and filled with endless entertainment. If you are prepared to experience one of the biggest celebrations of your life, plan your trip around the Rio Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. Depending on the year, Carnival falls in either late February or early March. Note that Brazil's seasons are the direct opposite of the seasons in the Northern Hemisphere. Summer is December through March and winter is June through September. The rainy season is during the summer months. Regardless of the season, however, the temperatures stay between mid-70s and low 80s year-round, so it's always comfortable swimsuit weather. Some of the best months to visit Brazil are between September and October. During this time, you can not only take advantage of great weather, but you can also typically find great deals on travel.

    What to Do in Brazil

You will never lack for something to do in Brazil. For an unforgettable experience, commission the help of a guide to explore the mighty Amazon River. You may even get the chance to spot some exotic creatures such as a toucan, red deer, piranha, or even a freshwater manatee or dolphin in their natural habitat. A visit to Iguazu Falls will leave you feeling inspired with its power and beauty. Make your way to the Pantanal Wetlands where you can not only catch a glimpse of wildlife, but also try your luck at fishing, horseback riding, canoeing, or hiking. The Wetlands present a great opportunity for those who are into photography. After a day filled with fun and excitement, you'll have just enough time to enjoy a sunset on Copacabana Beach, while relaxing in a hammock and sipping on a refreshing coconut filled with fresh coconut milk. The bustling city of São Paulo features various museums, restaurants, cultural centers, and nightlife in addition to being a paradise for the entertainment seeker. For a spiritual experience, Rio de Janeiro contains the iconic statue of Christ, Cristo Redentor, overlooking Rio.

    Experiencing Brazilian Culture

Brazil is a diverse country with many different ethnic groups. The Portuguese colonization of Brazil in the 1500s has heavily influenced its modern day culture. Portuguese is considered the official language of Brazil, and English is a close second. Family and religion are an important part of Brazilian culture. In fact, Brazil is home to one of the largest population of Roman Catholics in the world. Brazil's economy is steadily growing and is the world's leading source of natural resources, such as gold and iron-ore. Brazil is also known for its agricultural exports and being the number one supplier of coffee. Brazilians are hard workers yet free spirited and full of life. Brazil's yearly Carnival festival is filled with dancing, parades of costumed street dancers, formal balls, and so much more.

It's no wonder why people choose Brazil as a premier vacation destination each year. Discover Brazil for yourself and use Expedia.com for booking cheap flights to Brazil.

"Good hotel close to the beach."
Me and my husband stayed here for a few days in August. Front desk staff were uptight and not welcoming: didn't mention the fact that you can get hotel beach service (we ended up paying for chairs and a beach umbrella), did not explain the availability of the tours, didn't provide information about the hotel premises and kind of didn't take us seriously (young couple with no fancy attire). Our room was located in the first floor and had a partial ocean view (literally) which we appreciated given that it wasn't included in the rate. But after observing the surrounding hotels and comparing their rates, this one is definitely overpriced, and I now believe we should've gotten the full ocean view based on what we payed. The room door would only open after couple tries of push-pulling the handle. There was a missing ceiling piece that was supposed to cover the AC motor area which was dripping water in the entrance hall. (Our bad was not mentioning it to the front desk people but to a maid... According to them they would have done something to move us or fix it). Were not able to grant us a late check out. I should say we're not picky, we stayed in the damaged room, after all we were there to enjoy Rio, not the hotel. Maids and bell boys were overly nice, always smiling and greeting you. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of fruits and breads. The location of the hotel is great, and overall we enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff should step it up.

"Great location -- a "5" across the board!"
The Melia Paulista is a smaller, somewhat older hotel in one of the most convenient locations in Sao Paulo, in the heart of one of the largest business and financial districts, with a metro stop at its door. Although older, it is very well maintained, with comfortable, clean rooms, hallways, and public areas. The unusually shaped lobby area is particularly appealing, with some quiet corners as well as seats with a great view of passersby on Avenida Paulista. The breakfast bar offers wide range of well-prepared food. The menu at the hotel restaurant is limited, but reasonably priced and of very good quality. The staff are fluent in multiple languages, courteous, and friendly, while still retaining a professional reserve.

"Nice rooms but service not up to much"
The room was clean and of a good size. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower very good. But I have some problems with the service received: - I received a wake-up call for somebody else. The person who rang said she had the right room, but I certainly don't work for Turkish Airlines, and she was trying to wake up one of their crew members. - I had booked a room with a queen-sized bed but none was available. - I had agreed a late check-out at 14.00 but I received a nagging call at 12.20 about checking out since this had not been logged onto the system.

    "Very good staff and location"
We came to iguassu from rio taking the early morning flight and arrived at 2pm, then took 120 bus north to the best western hotel, the hotel located at the last second stop or take off at last terminal and walk to the hotel. The staff are very nice, spoke bit of English, tell everything you asked, the room is not that big with safe, hot water bottle and hair dryer as well. We ate the dinner at a Gyncho Buffet located at the corner close to the hotel, 28.5 reals per person, not too bad, no Chinese food around. The breakfast is just so so, we left second day morning and took 101 or 102 bus to Itapu dam, very powerful station, very deserve to go, a nice place, then retire with same bus to the terminal and switch to 120 bus to airport. The first day afternoon we also took 120bus to iguassu falls, the falls closed at 5pm, very long falls, including 275 falls. We are Chinese, three person one family, spent two days in Iguasdu, very nice experience!

"Good Option with a Great Breakfast"
My husband, my sister and I stayed at Bella Italia in January, 2015 and found the hotel quite adequate. The room was comfortable if rather basic, one of the front desk staff was very helpful and was able to converse very well in English with us (unfortunately for us, the majority of the staff didn't speak English and we didn't have much grasp of Portuguese), and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we had during our time in Brazil. The complimentary airport pick-up was also nice. The location of the hotel worked well for us, too - the proximity to a large local mall was useful for snacks and a quick meal, and we could easily walk the approximately ten minute walk to the local bus station to catch the bus to the Falls, the airport, and to the Argentine side of the Falls as well. The tour company in the lobby provided day excursions to the Falls but we opted to find our own way and managed quite well via the local bus system.

    "Great Hotel"
Excellent hotel with airport pickup, arrangement of visit to Argentine side and restaurant was pretty good too. Excellent breakfasts. Reminds me a lot of the Royal Hawaiian with colors, layout architecture but at a substantially lower cost. Guides were great, Being inside the park made sightseeing easier and the bus system in the park complemented the hotel transit. Bonus round was we got to see Jaguar slightly off the property to fill out our animal bingo card.
