Ideal for a short or long stay
We booked this lovely three bed townhouse for four weeks and loved every minute. It’s very well equipped and is a home from home. Fantastic views of the golf course, sea and pool. All rooms have air-conditioning which is a must as it’s quite hot in the evening as well as during the day.
The pool is a proper 25m pool and is great for swimming, playing and diving. There’s not a great deal of shade around the pool but we were given four comfy sun loungers and a large sun umbrella.
Beatrix is the property host and is very obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. Polly thoroughly cleaned the house once a week, changed the bedding and towels etc and both were very friendly and helpful.
The house is situated in a smallish complex which is very secure. The only issue is that the house is positioned halfway up a hill about 10 minutes walk from the beach. For anyone who is reasonably healthy it’s not a problem but our parents who are in their 70/80’s struggled a little and would have preferred it to be flatter.
The mercadona super market is a short 10 mins walk away and stocks everything required with plenty of fresh fruit, veg, meat, fish and all sorts of delicious breads and cakes.
We hired a car for a few days to go and visit Ronda, Gibraltar and a few other places but the buses are so convenient you really don’t need a car for the whole trip. Even the local taxis are not expensive.
Nearby places we visited that we would recommend are Mijas (1 hour by bus or 30 mins by taxi), benalmadena paeblo which is a very pretty village and has the best churros in the area and Arroyo.
We made many trips to Malaga which is just over one hour by bus and costs under €2 per person. Very elegant, fantastic shopping, tapas, bars restaurants and a great vibe, especially around the areas close to the cathedral and water front.
All in all a lovely holiday and house to enjoy our time in Benalmadena
